Not alot of specifics but seems like it has some decent capabilities if these statements are true (Rubicon Trail).

Agreed, it could be a way for them to ditch the SFA and sell a open air vehicle with modern road manners. This would fit the bill for a supermajority of consumers while preserving the Wrangler for the diehards.

Interesting. I'm waiting to see what Ford is going to do in the EV realm with all of its products. They've been pretty quiet about things-plans seem to keep changing.

I know we will see an Explorer and Lincoln BEV in the next two years and some sort of Bronco for the EU by 2025

to be fair the demand for the bronco is through the roof. this is also the first run for a bronco in 25 years, regardless of the ranger platform and ecoboost stuff.

i also feel like ford upped that ante in many ways. sas + warranty, on-road manners with off-road capabilities. I could go on, but they are both pushing each other.

you act like ford isn't moving electric. ford currently has 6 vehicles and more on the way, jeep has 2. 1000:1 the bronco and ranger get electric in the next few years. jeep is playing catch up.

in the end competition is great for the customer for both features and price.

To be fair, the supply of the bronco is through the floor creating the appearance of artificial demand. The Wrangler still outsells the Bronco.

If this thing has some range of over 300 miles during rough driving at altitude and rocky terrain driving, it’ll be a killer for the ICE Bronco.

Ford is in deep trouble not even being able to deliver the gas powered Broncos, if they get behind on Jeep’s Recon, they’ll be toast. My faith that Ford will be able to bring an electric Bronco to market that can keep up with this offering from Jeep is highly in doublt.

This is why we all should love competition! The future in the off-road world looks bright. Add Apple Watch Ultra to the mix and you’re ready to get lost and found on trails all over.

I honestly kinda like it. It’s funky looking. But the top and removable doors make it really cool and logical for families and people who may not want a Wrangler.

Ford likely won’t build our order by the end of 2023 anyways so I have to start looking at new manufacturers for my wife. Never thought in August 2020 I’d have to start thinking about what else I can order for her besides the Bronco. It’ll be almost 3.5 years by the end of 2023.
