Twin Predator carbs, big 8-71 blower, first guy to use rear steer. Bob Chandler was a god on how you build a big ass truck. ;)
I know what you mean right with you.

That is going to last 10 seconds on a trail, but it looks good.
Why would you think that? Have you ever seen how amazing the broncos do with portal axles off road. If it wasn’t so expensive I would have them today.

I should have gone through the list of upgrades. It does sound like they have done their research.

And portals like the Ultra 4 4600s. 😁

I thought of something else I wanted to share in regard to this picture. Many posting here may know this already but for those that don't.......

If you look at the tie rod assembly used here, does it look familiar??? It may look familiar except for one aspect. If you look the bolt is supported from the top AND the bottom. This is known as double shear. and makes it almost impervious to bend/break. When you are using a rod end and moly/alum/billet/etc. shaft you really need to make it double shear because what will end up happening is you will just bend the bolt going through the rod end because there is nothing to support the stress. Problem is making the stock knuckle double shear.

My advice to anyone is to stay away from this "style" of tie rod fix. It may look cool but, it will fail. (Unless it is double shear as in the pic)

Oh yeah, they have done their research. The portals have been much 1,2,3, this year in Ultra4 4600.

Yeah, I am afraid of how much they are going to be. πŸ€ͺ The way I understand it, they, Weld 74, the ones who make the portals do not make the setup under the Broncs. Just the portal. I believe Titan maybe is how does the arms and setup. Weld 74 has just come out with a bolt on setup for a Jeep. don't know if they are going Bronco or not or just let some else do it.

I wanted this exact set up this spring. Was quoted 21k for the portal boxes and 18k for the rest of the front assembly. This doesn’t include the labor, rear end, tires, or body work.

I was curious when seeing the By-Pass shock and the Coilover both. Found another pic and it looks like it they have moved the mounting points in this setup to make room for the By-Pass shock inside of the UCA.

The Ultra4 4600 class is only allowed a "single shock" setup.

I'm building a clapped out old bronco or buggy on mogs for that kind of coin.
