I do like that.

I voted for the vent area because my door jams will not often be visible.. Doors won’t be off very often (for example, it’s going to snow tomorrow here in MN).


*I do have a late “join date” but have been on here since the stig days.

Seth, wouldn't the back of the mirror have the same potential issues with plastic chemistry and adhesives? I like the logic as I like the recessed vent cavity. I'll likely never have my doors off unless it is to replace them with roadster inserts. But even then, that would only be in the dry season.

Possibly. I’m fairly certain the back of the mirror is plastic. I don’t remember what the surface texture is. If smooth, it may adhere well enough given the back of the mirror doesn’t get handled much (at least in my car). My door jambs get pretty abused in the winter from salt, etc, so not a good spot for me. Putting the sticker on plastic is a crap shoot. I won’t know how well, or how long it will adhere until I stick it somewhere. We don’t know what type of adhesive is on the sticker which also is a factor. The best spot is still a painted metal surface that stays dry and clean (might be a challenge in an off-road vehicle).

I like the door jam for that very reason. It will be protected most of the time and last a long time. It's something that only B6G members would look for and notice at events and trails, not really driving down the road. An easter egg that is hidden most of the time but readily visible for those in the know.

I don’t know we officially decided. I’d say you are welcome to chose your spot. Then post a picture and we can all chose our own places we like then keep a diary so when we see Broncos we will know where to look.

I know I'm in the minority but I though this was a subtle spot above the passenger visor. B6G members could see it easy with the top down or a quick glance in the window with the top on.
