Just edited the first post. Rules #1 and #2 are going into effect today, January 10, 2023, so no need to go back and change your thread.

Anyone posting a new classifieds thread starting today WILL have to comply.
I wouldn’t mind requiring that person’s face be in the ad as well just to make sure that the person posting is the actual owner of the account. Then too that’d require our profiles to have a picture too and not have to use our avatars for that, kinda like mine but looks nothing like me :)

***EFFECTIVE JANUARY 10, 2023***

ATTENTION SELLERS:
All Bronco6G users who wish to sell in the marketplace are now required to abide by the following RULES. If a sales thread/post does not comply, it is subject to DELETION without notice.

ATTENTION BUYERS: If you see a non-compliant sales thread, please REPORT the thread and take CAUTION when transacting.

Rule #1 - Post a picture of the actual item you are selling (NO stock photos).
Rule #2 - The picture must include a REAL piece of paper with your Username and the Date written on it next to the product you are selling. NO photoshop or digitally edited photos are allowed.
Rule #3 - NO "feeler" threads are permitted. This section is only for items that are actually available and ready to be sold currently.
Rule #4 - The listing must include an asking price. OBO (or best offer) is allowed but it must be accompanied by an asking price.
Rule #5 - No "threadcrapping." Classifieds threads are not meant for negative discussions. Comments on pricing are not allowed. Only people with genuine questions and interest in the item for sale should be posting in the classifieds threads.

We understand that these rules add more steps to the selling and buying process, but these rules have been implemented to protect both buyers and sellers, so thank you for your understanding and compliance. 🙏🏻

Rules #1 and #2 are EFFECTIVE TODAY, JANUARY 10, 2023. Please take note of the date when viewing or reporting a sales thread.

If you have an existing sales thread posted before January 10, 2023, you do not need to edit it. This rule will be enforced for all NEW sales threads created starting today, January 10, 2023.
Doug, why can't a comment be made about price? I would think the seller would like to know if they are out of range and folks will not buy accordingly.

Because the market will dictate that — if an item is priced properly, it will sell. If it’s priced too high, then it won’t sell and the seller will realize it.

What we don’t need or want are others posting their opinions on what they think someone else's property should be priced at.

With the large amount of non-contributing members joining the forum, just to flip Broncos for $10k-20k profits, because of unforeseen medical conditions, perhaps disallowing Bronco sales entirely would be positive to this forum. Many have waited years to get their Broncos, some still don't have them, Bronco flippers offer no value to the forum.

It is kinda fun to see how stupid some people are though...on Ford Bronco markups.

I have mixed feelings about this. Some people don't mind paying the markup. I certainly won't/didn't, but I don't think limiting sales of a product just because someone's selling a truck for perceived market value, above MSRP, is a reason to limit the ads. Some who can pay the $10-20k may appreciate the ads.

Maybe requiring a few contributing posts prior to selling a vehicle would be appropriate to minimize the vultures? Just thinking out loud...
