Different strokes for different folks. Steelies to me make it look like someone stole your wheels and you had to go to a junk yard and get the cheapest thing you could afford to drive again lol. Doesn't matter the color steelies to me are hideous lol
I guess it’s not as much that I think they are ugly wheels but to me they just don’t look like they belong on an off road vehicle. Too fancy looking I guess haha.

Same with the OBX wheels although I do think those look pretty good painted all black.

I'm just saying Ford hates the middle class, they proved it when they got rid of small cars and took their starting price from $12K to $25K (getting rid of the Fiesta, starting vehicle is now a Maverick), and now going from $34K to probably $50K on Bronco. Message received.

That's a little dramatic...

EVERYTHING has gone up. Pre-covid my wife and I could go eat at a steak restaurant for 50-60 dollars with a couple drinks. Now its closer to $100.

I paid 90K for my 2023 Ram 3500, just 5 years ago that truck was probably in the 70K range. The Ford dealer where I got my Bronco never even sold a single BB. That's why Ford killed it, no real demand for it.

FIRST UPDATE

Alright here is the list of info.

This is NOT everything, because... well... honestly I don't know all of the information that was provided to dealers or the media. And without knowing that piece of information I cannot disclose it all. The 12" touchscreen, for example, I had no idea media knew about that until the this post appeared morning. And truthfully up until this morning I intended on posting sneak peak post over the weekend with a cryptic "some of the technology available in Mid/High/Lux is now standard".
  • Trim Changes
    • Base trim is discontinued
    • Everglades trim is returning in limited quantities
    • The current optional Black Diamond wheels will become the standard option.

      • Velocity Blue - Now available on Raptor
      • Robin's Egg Blue - Now available on Heritage
    • Discontinued colors:
      • Area 51
    • Misc Changes
      • Body-painted fender flares are now standard on Bronco Raptor
  • New packages
    • Raptor Code Orange Appearance Package - Pretty much what @Administrator posted on the first post. I believe this is a late availability option.
  • Interior Changes
    • Cloth has been discontinued
      • New standard options:
        • Big Bend: Marine Grade-Vinyl
        • Outer Banks: Leather
        • Wildtrak: Leather
    • Improved interior comfort and finishes
      • Note: No details what this means. I assume it means more seat adjustability, or maybe standard rear seat cup holders. Maybe some better plastics. We'll have to wait and see.
    • Technology Changes
      • 12" touchscreen is now standard on all trims.
        • Note: This will undoubtably result in a shake-up of the equipment packages. My guess? High/Lux will be combined into a single package.
      • New connected services will be available
        • Note: I have no details. I assume they are bringing some of the streaming services currently only available on the Sync 4A system and bringing it to the Sync 4 system.
  • Exterior/Functionality Changes
    • HD Modular Bumper is now standard on Badlands and Wildtrak
    • A robust steering system is now standard on Badlands and Wildtrak
      • Note: I have no details on what this is. My assumption is that it is the HOSS 3.0 steering rack already available on Wildtrak.

It happened the same year, both examples. Nothing to do with inflation it was a decision made by Ford. What the hell does cancelling cars because they were low profit margins in favor of all trucks with double the starting price point, have to do with inflation? its a business decision.

I wonder if the 360 camera will also be standard with the 12 inch screen or if you’ll have to pony up 5k for the Lux package to get it? I’m thinking the latter which sucks.
I HIGHLY doubt the 360 camera will be standard. It's probably going to end up exactly like the Everglades deal.

Not sure I am understanding all of the "OMG!! The BASE IS GONE!!!!" comments. When I look at a base trim, and a Big Bend trim, the only differences I see is Base=5 GOAT modes, and 16's. Big Bend 6 Goat modes and 17 steelies. Now in 24 BB will get a rim.

What am I missing? Can someone explain it to me? Because for 24, the Big Bend will become the base model, until the workin Man RIG arrive. Even then I think BB will be the base. Also the way the prices are now, the days of getting a 30k Base SAS has been over.

Oh well loving my BL because I have it just the way I want it, and all of this new stuff, well I have. Leather? Check. Big screen? Check. Dual air? Check. Upgraded lift and suspension? Check Check.
37's? Yup. Plus a whole lot of other things. Yeah I'm set and happy.
I don't understand the "workin man rig" either. Broncos are neither cheap nor required for someone's occupation/way of life. Ford makes a Ranger for that.

I think a lot of the gripe has to do with a lack of Sas Pkg "affordability" but like you said, those days are long gone. Highly optioned Wranglers and Bronco's are littered all over the expensive beach resort towns in NJ. Whether we like it or not, that seems to be where the market is going and the manufacturers sure love the margins.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Ford announced they would have a WORK Bronco trim level, or Working Man, not sure of the name, but it was announced as a trim level for 24, or so it was talked about for 24. It would seem that this may not come to pass now, or maybe it will be later on into 24? That is what I was speaking on.

I think Ford changed their minds.

The loss of the 2Dr OBX is sad.. I was steps away from buying one (until I got the 'oh btw..10K markup and we over quoted your trade in) from the sales manager. grrrr). There are still some of us who want a more 'street' version that can hit a forest service road now and then. I'm anxious to see what's coming next.

I say this not because I have a BB and trying to justify it lol. But I never understood why people say the BB made no sense. The BB is the XLT of the line up. It gets you access to things like mid, locker, built in nav, sig lights, and the biggest upgrade no steelies haha without having to go up to OBX. The base was really limited of options because it was a base model. SAS being offered on it was amazing for the consumer but probably a terrible decision by Ford. Then still on the business side, the BB is probably where Ford actually wanted the base to start price wise, but they blocked it of options and really only offered it to beat wrangler pricing and advertise a starting price of below 30K.
Base existed for one super important reason for Ford, to ensure market penetration. Having this low cost option available with Sasquatch ensured that Ford could come in swinging with little competition from jeep in the low end of the segment... It was gimped as much as possible with regards to features to force people into higher trims for "only a little bit more" and this scheme generally worked for Ford. Base having served it's purpose is now gone, as Ford has sufficient market penetration now.

The great thing about steelies is that I will never feel bad scraping them across rocks or bending the f' out of them on an obstacle. They are 100% disposable (especially at the price I paid $600 with nearly new tires on them - under 3k miles). The tires alone were worth more than that.

Now if I could just find someone who wants to take a few sets of stock OBX rims off me in the future. The selection of tires that fit an 18" rim and are off-road worthy is limited. I have 3 sets of OBX rims, 1 set of Black Diamond steelies, and my RTR Tech 6 rims for two Broncos.

I'll be looking for that adjustable headrest as soon as it can be ordered. The stock headrest can't be adjusted and is way too far forward for my big head. I flipped it around, but now it's too far back and I might get whiplash in a collision.
