With Ford saying hard top prep kits will start with September production, what does that mean if you're 8/30 or 8/31?

I am calling ford now to find out. Got my email today as well. I switched to soft top when they told us to so we can get the prep kit instead. Let me know if you find out anything

You probably won’t see any FE’s get scheduled for a while due to them only having hard tops. Same goes with WT’s.

I bet you get the kit... Once they roll to Job #2 they aren't going to single out your truck unless I really misunderstand how mass production works.

I feel better now. I would think you are absolutely correct. For some reason I thought that Job 2 started in mid September, but I just reread the email saying all September production will include it.

I'd love to know too - I just got my email for an 8/30 production. I left a VM for my dealer to see if he can confirm whether or not the hard top prep kit will make it into the 8/30 week orders. If I get news, I'll report back!

Finally received my email for week of Aug 30th.

I finally got tired of waiting on the hard top and decided after reading all of the bad comments about fit and finish of the hair top that I would change to a soft top with hopes of moving up production. When I contacted my salesman, he gave me a list of constrained items that were holding up production, I took this info and removed as many items as I could from the list so I would have a better chance of getting a build date. The changes were made to my order on 7/26 and 17 days later I have a build date.
IF you are interested in moving up your build, contact your salesman, compare your build to constrained items and see what adjustments you are willing to make to get your vehicle on the way.

Yup. That's all there is going to be for the rest of the year basically. With FE's the exception once they get the tooling done for updated MIC tops. 2Dr WT here now officially 2022 considering a switch to 4dr....ugghhhh.
