The Sas/FE/WT wheel pushes it out 1" from the factory, so it would be a 2" on the other trim levels. I think the key is the extra wheel width. Sas/FE/WT is pushed out an inch, but there's an inch wider wheel (probably even more on tire footprint) to help ease the difference.

In other words, you have a wider base for that zero to sit on in relation to stressing the ball joints/suspension. I think it will partly depend on other dimensional factors. An 8.5-9" wheel with a 315+ at Zero, you'll probably be fine. A 7-7.5" with a 255 probably shouldn't be pushed that far.

Total noob here. Clearly from your contributions to this post, you're not. What benefits do powder coating the beauty rings provide over 3 layers of black spray paint?
The link @618TRVLWILD posted pretty much nailed it. Its durability is probably the biggest draw to us looking to do some off-roading. We don't even offer paint on any of our products. It's either raw satin, powdercoat, anodized or polished.

Check this out. Helps with the info of the benefits of powder coating!

Damn thought this would be an easy DIY the weekend I brought the bronc home. But with powder coating I will NOT be doing it myself. The benefits are clear. Definitely going that way, money be damned.

Good thing is there are plenty of shops around me who can do this over a 2 day time period

Thanks for the info you two!
This would be so much easier if Ford just sold the black beauty rings

Noob question - I've never thought about rims for a vehicle, but I'm looking at swapping out the Badlands rims one day - I've looked across a couple Wheels site - but none of them list 55mm offset, I've seen 47 and maybe 1 54mm. Even the site someone listed earlier only goes up to 35mm. What am I missing?
