Valid point. I also hope the window regulator isn't a cheap unit with plastic parts. I've had to replace my window regulators (over 15 times) on my Jeep because of inadequate door insulation and plastic clips. On the passenger side that receives direct sun where it is parked, the expansion/contraction caused by the heat causes the plastic components to break. When they do, the entire window regulator needs to be replaced. I don't even use the front/rear passenger windows, but even still the window regulator last about 2 years.regarding testing, just looking at the snow on the broncos brought something to mind. I went out last night and my driver side window was frozen and wouldn't go down (the molding thing at the bottom was holding it in place). Well, when you open the door on the broncos the window does a little drop (half inch?) so that the door can be closed and the window doesn't hit the top when you go to shut it. If it's frozen (as will happen) then that'll cause problems with the window motor and when you go to shut it again hitting the top of the door frame. Unfortunately not all of us live in nice sunny places. Hope ford remembered to test for this problem.
