Why is it there? My left knee says it should be next to the shifter. I wonder if it can be routed thru the aux switches or just repurpose the stupid ASS button to operate it.

I believe you have to pull and hold to engage the parking brake. It shouldn’t be a problem bumping it with your knee.

I'm more concerned with my knee/leg blocking access to it than bumping it. Won't know for sure until I get to sit in it.

Of all the things about the bronco i like, it is the little tag that says it was built at the Dearborn plant in Michigan. I am proud to buy a car made here in the US. And for you younger members, Ford was the only big three car company that did not take a bailout from the federal government when times were really tough.
