Question for you if you don't mind...
First ,I agree. I think this thing has 3 inches over sas height. My question is do the portal hubs allow better CV angles than the standard? I know this is running RCV CV half shafts, but what do you feel is allowing for CV angles that aren't too aggressive (that is presuming they aren't too aggressive)? 3 inches+ is generally on the edge for IFS, if you want boots to last and not bind up.
Yep, the portal axle setup allows the CVs be be practically stock articulation while still allowing for ~3" of lift.

It's too bad that those spindles will probably be stupid expensive. Like small mortgage expensive.

Don't mind at all. It is just one old man's opinion. These pics shows it a lot better. and I will try.

I don't know the exact orientation but The orange boot (top pic) would be the top gear (bottom pic) Then the wheel (top pic) is on the bottom gear (bottom pic) Adding whatever that distance is between the two gears 3-4 inches ??? would be the lift. Much better on cv angles than just pushing the cv to it's limit.

74weld posts they are working on "cost effective" alternative, after r&d with the 4600.

Is the spindle part of the portal hub? In other words, is it all one piece?

Yes spindle/ hub assembly would come out of the bottom gear somehow. Sorry guys I'm not an engineer have a hard time with terms.

This would be a normal setup. You'll notice the CV (drive shaft) lines up with the center of the hub, which centers the tire. The portal axle adds a compound gear to the mix so that the hub and wheel are lower than the CV

Portals have been around along time nothing new other than the tech update the idea.

The Bronc will make it popular. not just for your Humvee or Mercedes. ;)

I drew the gears in there for you.
