I wonder if they will do a portal hub for the rear axel as well.
Here is a video of a portal kit design for the Mercedes G wagon. It is a great example that helps anyone understand how a portal box work on a solid axel. The one for IFS is not much different in concept.
In the video you can see how the 4 gears work but the original Humvee was a independent suspension portal hub spindle with only 2 gears. that means the the Humvee drive train turned backwards so when it get to the wheels it will propel the vehicle forward. just my 2 cent to clarify the portal axel concept.
