I would really like to use my reservation on Heritage edition- Reality is -My reservation is at Chapman and I'm way =way down the list. I like the Cactus Grey Heritage with Navy Pier interior - but the RED accent color throws it off a lot.

I wish I could move my reservation to my local dealer.

Unfortunately that makes sense because you would be changing the chassis from an E5A or E5B, to an E5C or E5D respectively. It's the equivalent of changing trims to be honest. I forgot about that issue.
If I change from automatic to manual would that also loose price protection?

Anyone else notice the lack of rock rails on the Badlands and Black Diamond? They're missing from the renders, though they're included under Standard Equipment for both in the MY23 Order Guide
That rendering bug has been appearing off and on for the last two years. It's comical at this point. Not just that it's broken, but that they occasionally fix it and then it somehow gets broken again.

Yes I did notice, however, if you select the loop steps, what seems to be the rock rails populate.
They do, but they populate with the replacement rails for the hoop steps. If you read the info when you click on the hoop step, it says "Removes Standard Rock Rails" and "Rail cannot support the weight of the vehicle." It doesn't explain, other than a rendering error, why the standard rails aren't shown but it's a heads up for people that want the original rails. I didn't notice it until someone else mentioned it.

Id like to switch from automatic to manual for my 2023 re-order. The Ford Price Protection website states only this...It does not address my question. Any experience here appreciated.

What qualifies as a series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system change?

An example of a series change would be going from Badlands™ to Big Bend™. An equipment package refers to a base, mid, high, or lux package. A door change would mean going from a four-door to two-door and vice versa. A 4x4 system change means changing the standard 4x4 system to or from the advanced 4x4 system.

Oh cool. You can get the heritage with a manual and the mid package. I was set on a velocity blue big bend but thinking I would miss the mid package if I didn't get it

Who knows. The FAQs are clear as mud.

If you changed your series, equipment package, the number of doors, or 4x4 system after March 11, 2022, your price protection amount may vary

May vary, ok. Why not spell it out? The way it is written, the stealers will love it cause they can interpret any way they wish.

Well this is unexpected...and welcome news...

Price protection for the HE and also extended to everglades for 2023!
Really interesting that it can apply to the HE (standard) when that trim didn't exist prior to March 11, 2022. I can see the Everglades being eligible for those that ordered in MY'22 and didn't get built.

But the keyword that Ford uses is "switching" yet in another segment of the FAQ is this:
Ford Bronco 🔗 2023 Bronco Build and Price Page [Link Update!] 1663796933712

The key takeaway that negates what Ford has said in the past and dealers have repeated here (including Samantha at Granger) is that a series, equipment, package, number of doors, or 4x4 system does NOT negate price protection. It only changes the amount of the certificate. "...price protection may vary."

So based on the verbiage that Ford has chosen to use with this latest FAQ is that No ones PP is eliminated except those who opt for the Raptor or HE-L. The PP private offer in Smart Vincent for MY'23 will be based on the build profile that was on record prior to 3/11/22.

There is no answer yet. Anything we say here would just be speculation until the price protection details leak. And especially with price protection, the devil is in the details, so I don't think speculation would be worth a whole lot.

We should know the answer long before the reordering deadline, so just sit tight.

If this is truly how it will work, then my '23 Badlands Bronco will actually be cheaper than it would have been as a '22, since the date of record for MY22 price protection was early Oct. '21, when I had an Outer Banks order on file.

My dealer told me I should be getting an email today about converting my 22 to a 23. I haven’t seen anything yet, has anyone received this email? Or was my dealer wrong?

Got mine ar 12:30 this afternoon.
