We just caught a prototype Ford Bronco Everglades testing its packaged winch and snorkel, along with a roof rack.
With its roof camo removed, we see a roof rack holding a hinged, wooden box, on which is written: “Do Not Remove From Rack.” Wires protrude from the box, and lead to a series of connections and harnesses, ultimately leading to massive bundles of wires directed throughout the vehicle. Wires appear to go to each wheel, to the middle of the wheelbase, and through open windows into the cockpit. It’s an interesting configuration that we haven’t seen on any prior Bronco prototypes.
Does the expansive wiring hint towards more features for the Everglades than merely a factory snorkel and winch kit? We'll find out for sure when the Everglades becomes available in Summer 2022.
