Maybe some basic ‘maintenance‘ but I really don’t think there will be ’necessary changes‘. Does a green color require a change to the line? No. Does a painted mod top require a line change? No. Does a sticker (Heritage) package require a change to the line? No. So, other than Squirting some oil in a few machines, there should be no necessary changes.

The problem here being 2021 will be only half a true production year, so 2022 is essentially a “first year” model too.

Also to those on this thread who believe the 2021 models will be “valuable” because they’re “more rare”: LOL!!!!

I'm thinking I'm calendar year rather than model year. The top debacle to start bothers me. Let them chase the gremlins I'll pick up after they are mostly ferreted out.

As for value, ya. Totally agree. The 64 1/2 Mustangs barely fetch a higher price even though they are technically all '65s. What do you get? A generator rather than an alternator and some other slapped together, half a$$ed oddities. This isn't Ford's first time with these situations brothers and sisters.

2022MY Bronco order acceptance, scheduling and production dates have just been released. As always, these dates are subject to change.

• 2022 Initial Orders Acceptance -- 9/13/21
• 2022 Scheduling Begins -- 10/14/21
• 2022 Production Start Up -- 12/13/21

What is Orders Acceptance and Scheduling?

"Initial Orders Acceptance" is when Ford will allow dealers to begin placing orders, but vehicles won't necessarily be built in the order that orders are received from dealers. They get scheduled based on parts and option availability at the plant. An individual option, or even the paint color, can delay your place in line until that option, or paint, is expected to be on-hand. "Scheduling Begins" is when they will start laying in the order of all those previously received dealer orders.

So.... Ford offered all of us with Bronco orders free sound deadening liner for our wait and their screw-up. Will this free liner roll over to MY22 if my order for MY21 does not get made? Confusing....

Sooo.... a coworker just ordered a 2021 Tacoma.

granted a very specific trd sport.

he was told TWENTY WEEKS.

so he will take delivery of a 2021 Tacoma, in November of 21!

My LR dealer texted me today. I can have a Defender by October.

Sounds great considering I have a 7/26 time stamp and the only way I'm getting one in '21 is if I hit the commodity lottery. Tempting...

If a build gets pushed into next year, does the order process start over, or will ford honor your original order? What if your color of choice is no longer used? I know ford said the pricing will remain the same.
