Some don't seem to understand it doesn't take much to get the job done. They think you need to glue a mattress to the roof to be effective. :D
This is not my Audi!!! Seriously a bunch of whiny babies! It’s not meant to be a concert sound like my 2020 S6.

I'm no EB expert. Quick research shows the '66 EB was a roof and doorless roadster for $2,200 1966 dollars; about $18,500 in 2021. I can't quickly find original pricing by trim, but the Ranger and Sport packages back in the day added a roof and doors and upleveled upholstery. Estimating those packages added $500 to $900 to the base price, puts a simi-comparable EB to a Base Gen 6 (i.e. roof and doors) around $24,000 vs. $30K for a Gen 6.

Say Ford sold an EB with fancy tech stuff (for the late 1960's) easily found on Mercury and Lincoln vehicles and priced a top-line EB at $6,500, that puts theoretical the top-line 1966 EB at $55K in today's dollars.

I'd bet the rudimentary 1966 EB roof would have zero interior trim to it. It probably would have been the same roof as the base in the fictitious EB high-trim; which is the point we are making. It's a Bronco truck with a plastic removable roof that is meant to get thrown in the garage or yard shed for storage. The prospective Hot Heads product, with fabric-covered foam board insulation will probably be far more susceptible to damage when stored. That's the point I am making; I'd rather have the roadie-proof speaker rug material on the inside of my MIC top regardless of trim level.
EB headliner was made of pretty much heavy duty cardboard. Still is :) https://shop.broncograveyard.com/Headliner-66-77/productinfo/17400/

Not understanding why you have it all over..My new 2.0 top is at the dealer waiting for me to have it installed free..
well for me it means that my 2 door that's been sitting at DM since Jul 21 has an actual real world chance of being delivered maybe sometime in the next month.

It can be roadie proof and shed when brand new, they just need to have the edges look clean and professional and vacuum it before letting the customer take delivery. That’s my point. They just need to take a little more pride in it

You will not be dissapointed John. Installation was pretty easy. A 2 -3 beer job depending on your break schedule. :) Doing the removeable panels is very easy as you just take 'em off, and take to your work bench. Working overhead with the rest ain't bad unless you do it in the summer like I did. You know how bad the humidity is down here in the South. You can just stand outside, not move one muscle, and you'll be sweatin' in a New York minute. :)

The top itself looks good. I should have skipped the headliner though, it's never going to look good.
Is that the free headliner they’re giving us? That looks awful. Like someone just glued some carpet squares on the roof!!! 😳😩

what was everyone expecting as far as the headliner? When I was shopping before I ordered a bronco, I looked into and built a jeep at a dealer. The sales man said not to get their headliner because, “ it looks like floor mats glued to the ceiling.” That’s a tried and true vehicle with years in this platform and that’s the best they have been able to come up with. It must be a lot more difficult to do than what people are giving the situation credit. I didn’t get a jeep because it felt small and the interior looked and seemed cheap and unfinished, more so than the bronco. That being said, did everyone think that Ford was going to be able to come up with something light years ahead of another company that has been leading this specific field for years? I just don’t understand the constant hate on so many things. Especially on a first year vehicle. If you wanted refined and polished, should have waited until year 3+ or longer. Like others have said, if ya don’t like it, walk away and get your money back and get something else. IMO nothing else looks as good and by all accounts they seem to be a very capable vehicle on and off-road. I’ll climb down off my soap box and wait for the flying tomatoes.

honestly, I didn’t know what to expect so I am glad that pictures were posted (THANK YOU!) so I can take that “free” item off my 2022 re-order! I’m not hating at all, just frankly shocked at how tacky it looks and had no previous point of reference! :)

I switched to a softop when I saw all the issues with the production. I personally feel at this point everything has been rushed around fixing or solving the issues with the hardtop. I plan on waiting until they come up with a problem free hardtop before ordering one, I would love to have the option of both tops. But at this point I feel they will continue to have issues.
I am actually considering a prewired soft top now. How much do you all think a hardtop will cost after though?

With the amount of dog hair that ends up in my car, fuzz from the headliner is the least of my worries.
I've got 4 cats I ain't scared of a little carpet..

Came via convoy sometime last night.

Top is everywhere in the garage right now. I was not expecting this truck for another month. I need to clean and organize. More in depth pics to follow. Deadener looks pretty good. It's lightly shedding particles everywhere. The bolt cages where I took the top off also look chipped. The paint seems to already be affected from the bolts. I'll post that later as well. For now the bolts are back in.
