I agree with all those points. I think the 2.3 is more than plenty and as a MT owner I’m not salty about not being able to get the 2.7, I love this 2.3. Especially after driving the Gladiator manual with the 3.6, it’s crazy how much more you get with this 2.3 than that.
Yeah, I never thought I would own a 4-cylinder but I am super impressed. It’s got more pep than my V8 ‘66 mustang!

this is cool, can you share how you did it.
Sure - basically I connected all the power wires to the LED letters together then to an upfitter switch, next I connected each ground wire to a MOSFET. Those MOSFETS are then controlled by an Ardruino Nano.

You can program the Arduino to do whatever you want the lights to do - the code isn't really that hard in this case since its just a few sequential commands.

The Bronco showed up just in time to take it on our annual beach road trip. She survived the 1,400 mile round trip just fine.

A couple of pleasant surprises that I had while traveling:
- The 2.3L is pretty awesome for this size of vehicle. Any worry I had about engine size is gone now.
- The cargo room is more than enough for a family of 4. We were able to fit all of our clothes and beach gear with room to spare. Granted we pack pretty light, but I was half way expecting to struggle to fit everything.
- The wind noise on the soft top gets pretty loud going 70+, however it kind of lulls you to sleep after a while. The kiddos in the back seat slept like babies.

Now it’s time to start doing some upgrades! 😜

I agree about the 2.3 L . I'm really surprised with it. We have pretty steep winding mountain roads around here and the Bronco has no issues with them at all.

Well the barge company says the bronco is here. I didn’t see it at the port but it could be parked elsewhere. The dealership hasn’t been much help all along. The barge company said it was being released to the dealer today. It’s a 5 minute drive between the two. We will see when they decide that it’s time to go get it. 🙄

thought i'd share this for anyone with a tow package and a medium or large dog. probably one of the absolute best purchases i've made so far. i just keep it in the cargo area. no pins to mess with or anything. just slide the step into the hitch receiver, dog jumps up or down, pull out the step and put it back into the cargo area. saves your back and their joints. i used to have one of those telescopic ramps, and then a folding one, but they took up a lot of space and were a pain in the butt to set up and take down.

here's the link for amazon: otto step

PSA - if you take your Bronco to the car wash be careful with how much tire shine they put on or request that they dont do it at all. Got spots all over the fender flares that I ultimately removed with Goof Off.

From now on that's what I'm doing. Never had a problem before, it's a hand wash place so not a machine.

Oh man that’s crazy! I heard that for the soft tops there is like some kind of treatment and it’s not good to take them through a car wash for a while and I’m probably more paranoid than I should be.
