Happy Friday and I hope there aren't any stragglers on here!

I've already seen an orange and a gray Bronco Raptor out in the wild. Don't even wanna know how much they paid for it.

I see Broncos every day, and it makes me happy. Hope you all have a good weekend!

I made the switch over to winter studded tires this week. Unfortunately it’s time. Thompson pass is showing temperatures in the low 30s and I have to drive it next week. The tire switch has meant more road noise. It made me realize how quiet the tires are that came with the rig. I’ve had it for almost a month and have put on 1200 miles. I love driving it!!!!

Looks awesome there. Are those huge chunks of Obsidian along that trail?
And you got your trailer built. Sweet.

Yeah we climbed ‘Glass Mountian’, it was a cool trip. Tons of lava caves and crazy rocks.

I got the trailer from a local fabricator and snagged a welder to make it mine. So far my favorite addition is the folding cook top. I always overbuild things, I’m about as careful as whistling diesel.

Back from the road trip that involved 644 miles, winding two lane roads, high passes, lots of rain, and freezing temperatures. The bronco did great and averaged 21.3 mpg on winter studded tires. Although the price at the pump hurt (5.99/gal). We ended up not driving on any ice as the ground is still to warm for it to form. It was a comfortable ride and the road noise wasn’t that bad even with the tires.

Am I the last one off the mountain? 😭 I just picked up my Black Diamond today after it sat at the railyard for 3 months!

It turned out Ford lost the keys to the truck and that's why it sat for so long. Nobody looked into it to find that problem until we were two months into this despite my repeated attempts to get someone to investigate. I had Ford do a logistics inquiry 6 weeks into this, they somehow found nothing. Eventually the dealer decided they liked money and figured out the issue.

Anyway, here's the Bronco next to my Maverick. I have to decide on one of these, I'm like 90% sure I'm sticking with the Bronco. The Maverick is awesome though and fully loaded. Also it's a hybrid, the mpg is great.

I’m glad they finally decided to take the initiative to figure it out. However, it’s frustrating that they took this long! I’m glad it’s in your hands now! Enjoy it!!
