I just called the Ford CS at 800-334-4375 and was told mine was built on 1/15 and is awaiting shipment even though it's still showing in production since 1/6 on both trackers. The CS rep said the status won't change to built until it has been picked up by the carrier.

So for those of you who don't have an update on the tracker you may want to verify with Ford CS what your actual status is.
I called last night and they said all they can see is it's in production since 1/6, same thing I see on both trackers.

Okay 1/3 family, need some advice on financing....I currently have a rate of 1.99% for 65 months. Do I hold out hope that Ford will get me a better rate or do I just move forward and lock this in? Thanks everyone!

I'd lock it in, from my understanding Ford is 4-5 APR. At least that's what my salesman said.

Lock it in. My dealer had to search high and low to match the 2.49% I had pre-arranged through my bank.

anyone knowledgeable with rail car status lingo? Status changed from "constructively placed" to "placed in industry".

Can't find exact match in CSX dictionary but found couple that are fairly close
  • Placement: When the car is actually placed in the industry by the railroad.
  • Advance Notice: A notification of an approaching event or intended action, such as notice to a customer that cars ordered will soon be placed at their industry.
I hope "industry" means was put on truck to dealership.
This might help

1.75 was the best I had seen from USAA but that seems to have faded this week.
Going best rate I can find with no frills is 2.45 from my local Credit Union.
Ford is 4-5 I am told.
Chase says it will do 2.75 but that is just talk so far.
I locked mine in at 2.45

I have never arranged financing before buying a car. How long is it typically good for?

I am not going to do my loan with the CU until I have the deal and final price from salesman done. I have no clue what my total is.

Could be. Mine switched from CSX to Union Pacific. Looks to be in northern Illinois somewhere. Says estimated delivery 1/24 to OKC. So I think it’s on schedule.
That’s good! I’ll have to stop by bull knight around that time and see if see yours and mine maybe lol

My bank issued a check that was valid for 30 days.
USAA gave me 45 days. So as soon as it gets to my dealer, I'm gonna finalize the price and fill in the check and drive away. No other issues i hope.
