Looks like I may be a couple of days ahead of my fellow Houstonians so here’s my timeline, for what its worth, from when my rail car reached final destination…

Arrived in Pearland Wed 12/15 6:00am

Placed at customer location Sat 12/18 10:32am (this means the rail car is ready to be unloaded)

Empty and released by customer Sun 12/19 8:39am (this was the time the rail car was finally unloaded).

Now just waiting on a truck to take it to the stealership.

Interesting, didn't realize it hadn't been actually unloaded yet.

Mine arrived at the rail yard early this morning. Now I wait for it to get on a truck and to the dealer. The rail yard is about 15 minutes from my house and about 25 minutes from the dealership. I am sure I could crawl there and pick up the Bronco long before it will get on a truck. Still hoping to get it in time for Christmas.

Day 5 at Diesel Dust Ditch: I continue to await the final leg of delivery from Ford to my dealer. Truckers eschew me, fearing that my bright yellow-nay-orange coloring will attract a Bear, and that my high roof will prevent them from clearing the underpasses along the way and force the use of slower secondary roads. I watch in despair as smaller vehicles - Camrys, Civics, Altimas and the like - come and go like dry leaves in a cold December gale while I wait for any change like a rock in geological time.

For those of you who, like me, are waiting impatiently for your Bronco to get on a truck headed to your dealer, one suggestion I have is to check out a few of the online videos Ford has posted (at the "manage" page you get to by reservation number and signing in). They include instructions on how to take off and put on doors, soft tops, hard tops, etc. They won't take you very long to finish... but at least you might know more than you did before about your approaching Bronco.

This waiting is interminable. And yes, I do think that word means what I think it means. If FoMoCo wants to prove me wrong, the ball's in their court.

Dealer is saying my Bronco 'might' be on the lot tomorrow... I guess we'll see.

Got my line pic yesterday morning. Also have been calling the rail company and tracking each day. Once it hit Chicago, CSX stopped actively tracking it, so I called union pacific to track. I've noted the stops on google maps as it makes its way to Los Angeles.

Nice! Deliver ETA is December 21st.

It changes everyday ranging from the 21st to the 25th. Currently it seems to be near Vegas.
