Got my 12/20 production email last night!

I was late to the game with a 6/24/21 reservation date.

Small town dealer, had 12 orders ahead of me, but I was the only soft top. No-one else would drop their hard tops or other options like tow/Sasquatch, etc. Hopefully a few got pulled to build but my dealer did tell me as far as he was concerned my soft top put me at their #1 position in terms of being buildable.

I went soft top both because I'd like to see the Bronco sooner than later but mainly functionality. I'm a petite woman and there is no way I'd be manhandling the hard top all the time, lol. I can't wait for the usability of the soft top! (Even though it's not as attractive, lol.)

Congrats. To me, the soft top looks a lot better in person than the MIC. Matte black vs. "grey-ish" just compliments the rest of the truck better.

Uh oh!! I didn’t mean to be in this group intentionally. But it looks like Ford did it for me. They placed an identical order for 2022 that I placed for 2021 and already own. I got the VIN email this morning. Has this happened to anyone else? I did ask my salesman a few months ago and he said that Ford accidentally placed duplicates and to not worry about it. But it seems to real to just ignore.

Yes that was a turn off as well. I'm all about things/colors vibing and the MIC didn't make sense with the OBX in particular. It usually looks good with the ones with the black flares because it's pretty close, but there are just too many contradicting pieces. Shiny black grill, flat black bumpers, etc. Don't need to add greyish roof to the mix, lol. I like the overall appearance of the hard top but the color was a big turn off. Had MOD tops been in the mix, that was my initial plan.. Color matched or gloss black tops are going to look hot.

Got my email and VIN yesterday, a bare bones Big Bend with a manual shift and soft top. Ordered Area 51, but thinking of just maybe switching to Hot Pepper Red. Anyone in the NJ area looking to sell their side steps?!

Anyone have any estimates on how long it takes for production, travel, and then ultimately delivery. Not looking for hard and fast dates, just rough estimates. Thanks!

Honestly. I love it. It’s a helluva lot smoother and quieter than my 98’ soft top wrangler. I don’t regret it for a sec. The one and only thing I do regret is not buying the onboard door bags. I thought I could buy them from the dealership. Nope. I kicked myself in the ass for that mistake. Throwing that baby into 6th gear is *chefs kiss.
I can’t count the amount of times I’ve been stopped and asked questions at stop lights, parking lots, even driving down the road. I’m even super happy with the soft top. I don’t like the commitment of the hard top. The only thing that sucks is that the water rolls down off the top when the window is down. But that happens with a Jeep too so it is what it is. Overall. I’m loving life with the bare bones BB.

oh yeah. It shifts smooth as butta and can really get up.

Does anyone know how long the build process typically takes? I’ve seen a lot on the build process trackers and statuses but not exactly what having a build week means. What’s the average build timeframe? (Obviously barring any supply chain issues)
