How goes the train ride? Mine made it to Vancouver today.

It’s left Whitcomb, WA today. My dealer said I’ll have it by Friday the 28th or before.

My other dilemma now is MY second order also a Wildtrak four door just went into production - ordered 11/27/2021 (soft top No tow package). I don’t know if I should take that order too and flip it or let the dealer keep it. Ugh. Decisions.

Those who took delivery of your Bronco. How many days did you have to wait for your bronco to go from railyard to dealer?

Maybe 3-4 days. I can't get over to NOLA to pick it up till the 28th.

Will do...I have to say that Maxwell has been good through all of this. Even before this happened, they committed to MSRP (as they have for folks who already picked their rides up from them). They're saying that they'll be all over the repairs first thing Monday when the service dept. opens. So hopefully it'll all be ok and I'll be able to pick it up (with broken grille) late next week.

I do plan on going out there on Monday to see the damage in person, and to talk to the service guy. Plus it's a good opportunity to do the 198-point inspection compiled by @Cat. I'll keep ya posted.

Any updates on your train car?

No updates on mine yet. I'll follow up with them Monday. My "estimated delivery" window ends tomorrow!

You are right that there is the reflection of the garage door on the windshield, I meant the white dot on the windshield

I was driving back home from the dealer on I84, a little faster then I should’ve, and a faithful sixteen wheeler managed to squirt me with a handful of gravel setting in the middle lane. (Pun intended)

I guess I should be grateful that only one of them managed to crack the windshield.

Off to Safelite on Monday with me

I have to say I own/owned two FJs, and had my share of cracked windshields but nothing in the first hour!!!

So, got a call from my dealer; good news/bad news, he said: Bronco has arrived, but there’s transport damage to the hood and grill. So basically this vehicle I’ve waited 1.5 years on has already been in an accident. Plus obviously can’t go get her today, so the frickin’ wait goes on.

Thankfully, the damage appears minor, cosmetic, and easy to fix: a dent in the hood and a broken grille. Dealer’s service manager is gonna look at it on Monday when he’s in. My hope is that they can fix the dent easily, make sure there’s no additional damage, and order a new grille. Then I can sign and drive until the new grille comes in.

What y’all think?

I dunno where my truck was...this to me looks like (and I'm totally guessing here) that it was maybe on the lower level, and the upper level ramp came down on it or something.

Such a kick in the teeth, though...SO CLOSE!
