Don’t wanna forget to mention…yesterday my Revel Gear lights arrived! I’ve been following @the.girl.scout on IG for awhile and she added these awesome camping lights to her rig and I fell in love so I ordered the multicolor ones and they arrived with a cool patch to add to our little collection and I’m in love with them! They simply plug into your USB outlet in the back of the center console and come in a ton of colors and they’re only $25!

How many of y’all have gotten your windshields redone? One of the admins in our Houston Bronco Club said that their dealer can pop out the windshield and apply adhesive in a day if you don’t want to replace the entire windshield and I’m thinking of going that route as ours is ceramic tinted and (knock on wood) we don’t have any cracks, dings, chips in our windshield yet and I know when we take ours in for its first oil change…yeah, we haven’t cracked 4,000 miles yet lol…that it’ll be addressed and we’ll face to go down that road.

Not sure I'm going to bother. It originally showed up in FordPass, but has since disappeared. Yet, when searching my VIN on NHTSA site, the recall is still listed.

If and when I need a windshield replacement, I'll cross that bridge. Just doesn't seem prudent to introduce factors in an equation that doesn't have a problem as far as I'm concerned. If there was leaking or wind noise associated with the seal, then I'd be more proactive in getting it done.

And I dig those lights from Revel. I was just going to get the blue ones for Luna's namesake. But I just know that come time for the holidays, I'm going to want the multi-color.

The recall only covers the removal, adhesion application, and install of the SAME windshield. My appointment is this Friday but since I now have 3 wicked cracks in my windshield, I had them order a new OEM windshield. Cost was $594 if anyone is wondering how much the OEM glass is. My first priority is to get some kind of windshield protection soon as the new one is installed. With a $500 deductable, I can't afford replacing windshields. That money is for MODS!

Hey all you 3/14'ers! Just checking in. Its been a wild couple weeks for mods and I'm this much closer to a divorce

After dragging the underside of my basesquatch on my last offroad adventure, I decided to go with a lift and 37s.

I went with the Zone 3" adventure lift and Ironman M/T 37x12.5R17s. And before you hate on the Ironmans, they aren't that bad. They are 12 ply beasts and road noise is about the same as stock. There's a smidge of body roll in fast turns but that's expected. And gas mileage? Say goodbye! I'm averaging maybe 15mph now. Again...expected. Why these? I got them for $200/each (with a vet discount i think). Otherwise they are $225. I had to try them out.

So these got mounted on the SAS wheels. After researching the forum and youtube, the general consensus was that 1.5" spacers were needed due to the +35mm offset of the SAS wheels. This gave me about 1/2in of poke and no rubbing. I hate running spacers since its just another part that can fail but this was temporary since I planned on new wheels sometime next year. Until........

Two days later.......I was back at the shop where the lift was installed and was checking their inventory of Methods. The owner cut me a deal for the 312s ($300ea). With the 312's offset of -12mm (17x9), I was able to ditch the spacers and have damn near the same amount of poke and no rubbing. Now its how long before the wife notices.

Before (stock SAS):

After (w/lift and 37's):

Clearance changes (inches). First column stock, second column after the lift/37s:

LCA - 9.5	12.25
REAR SHOCK - 8.5	10.5
DIFF - 10.25	12.25
Front Fender - 37.75	42.25
Rear Fender - 39.625	42.5
Top of headlight - 43	47.75
Center top of rock rail - 20	23.5

All measurements are somewhat accurate. Bottomline, I damn near netted 2" of clearance on the lowest points (LCA, Diff, rear shock) with the lift/37s since they measure out pretty close to 37" whereas the Goodyears are closer to 34.5"

Final mod (ya right): JCA Offroad's Tailgate/Tire Relocation bracket (coming next friday).

Hey there 3/14ers, great to see @Cysquatch, @ChompSticks and @mpmcgaughey still posting on the thread. Been a while for me... but loving the 2022 Badlands. Mods so far include Flowmaster FX exhaust, Hidden winch, lot's o lights and Bilstein 6100 shocks that added a 2.5 lift to the Sasquatch package. Looking forward to playing in the snow this winter. Included a couple of pictures of the 71 next to the 22. 71 has a 5" lift on it with 35's. Loving the 6100's.

They are the shock replacement to the stock SAS Bilstein shocks. They have an adjustable ring to level or lift your rig. Install is pretty straight forward. The ride is a little stiffer than stock on the road but not too bad. Have not taken them offroad yet.

No major off-road use yet. They do seem to firm up the ride on the street compared to the stock shocks but absorb bigger impacts nicely. I'll drop a note on this thread once I get some time off-road.
