Got a letter from Ford today telling me to ignore the windshield recall letter I never got because it was repaired at the factory...🤔🤣🤣🤣

Also did a 5 tire rotation and within 10 miles the the TPMS updated and all is normal.

I'm at 5600 miles on mine now. No issues, got the full screen CarPlay update last week. I'm hoping to get a warm enough day in January to take the top off, but so far, it's not looking likely.

I did discover that with extreme cold (-10 or so) and precipitation, the defroster can't keep up. I had some ice buildup and had to go old school: open the window, catch the wiper in action and thwack it a few times to remove the ice buildup. It needs a heating element for the wipers. It also needs a winter mode button to simultaneously disable parking sensors/collision avoidance/etc. All of the warnings going off when they are snow covered can be a bit annoying.

I got one too. Seems silly but I am wondering if legally they had to document it.
Dealer took care of the oil leak on mine but still annoyed with the windows. They claim that’s the way they are. And don’t seem to want to dig deeper.
Anyway, did a lil wildlife scouting again this past weekend and took it as offroad as I likely ever will.

Have to check the mail. See if Ford sent a new letter to ignore the earlier notices. I should say continue to ignore them. Either way I'm not going in. That whole windshield recall thing looks BS. Lots of people who went in, the adhesion was so strong the dealer couldn't remove it without shattering

Yeah bought the Ford Premium Care ESP from Granger

Also saw some of your posts with the top removed. Cyber Orange w SQ pkg is great look - and now a legacy
My recall was done before I took delivery in July.
I will likely get the warranty before my first 12 months is up.

I got caught up in the windshield recall so dropped it of the day before I went to Europe on vacation.

Two days later, I’m walking through the streets of Barcelona (not flexing, it was just so random), and I get a call from my dealer. The company who did the windshield repairs lost a guy and they decided they didn’t want to do them anymore. They said they would find another vendor. Cool. Don’t care. I’m on vacation.

get home two weeks later, not done yet. Wait another week, finally complete.

I hesitate to take the truck in even for an oil change for fear of having to go without for an extended amount of time.

current status:
- picked up: 6/11/22
- miles: 3500
- known issues: sometimes sounds Grindy on startup (manual transmission issue)
- 3rd gear makes a “wind whistle” noise until I shift.
- rattle in the back over certain bumps (sounds like spare tire/tailgate)

mods:
- AR Magnum Steps
- trailrax rack
- jcr molle panels and upper shelf
- various internal odds/ends
- off-rodeo in Austin 10/22

currently making plans for some casual off roading

hope everyone is doing well!

Chonko out playing in the show. We are getting more snow tonight.
I’ve done nothing to this thing except put winter tires on. It’s so capable stock. But boy, does it get dirty!

This thread is now one year old. At this point one year ago, I was still blissfully unaware of being bumped to 4/4.

Can not wait for Spring, ordered a nice tent and have most other gear to go camping. Planning on heading West to Wyoming.

Awesome! I’ve thought of this… any MPG boost?
Not really but I like the looks and the tailgate works much easier.
