Ok so I found this website that claims to have tested both Bronco 2.3 with manual transmission and 2.7 automatic.

Looks like there is about 1 second speed difference between the two. Wonder how noticeable that will be in real life.

Someone posted a short video of Bronco 2.3 manual 0-60 and I consistently got a time of 6.7 seconds. Coincidentally, that is the same time this chart says for the 2.3 manual.

Website 2.3: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/..._bronco_2-door_base_2_3l_ecoboost_manual.html

Website 2.7: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/...ord_bronco_2-door_big_bend_2_7l_ecoboost.html
Attached are pictures from the site.

These seem to be the most accurate 0-60 times we’ve seen so far. As expected, the extra 30 HP in the 2.7L doesn’t mean much when starting from 0mph. It’s on the steeper hills where you’ll actually notice the extra torque in the 2.7L.

People also need to understand, that these are the more stripped down trims, with less weight, and smaller tires. These 0-60 times will only get slower the more options your Bronco has. (For example, it makes sense that the First Edition took over 8 seconds. It weighs about 1,000 more pounds than the base model.)

Thank you for this!

I don't think people understand the visual difference between these times. It's a pretty good dragging... People need a visual reference head to head video lol

Personally these times don't carry much weight with me. I want to see a run after 1,000 miles, the brake in is done, and the computer has learned what it needs to.

My 2021 Tremor has similar break in language in its brochure as the Bronco brochure has and became a drastically better truck after 1,000 miles. The difference is best described as it feels like I gave the software a tune.

These are simulations based on published data, not actual tests. Their software doesn't know about the nerfing Ford has done to protect the 10R60

Glad someone else caught this, says right in the pictures “simulation”. This is not real. Was performed in a vacuum.

Personally I wouldn't want a transmission to learn how to shift. The transmission is evolving...oh no judgment day. Lol oh rumba's there like little Afrids. Oh flositent light bulbs...ok for the environment but at what twisted cost. But honestly I would rather trust myself than more tech to get me from A to B. Let's have this special transmission learn and grow the proper way so the world can be a better place.

Cars are incredible these days. People expect sports car acceleration and Ford is able to provide it somehow.
Thats not sports car acceleration lol. My Challenger would be considered slow and it does 0-60 in 4.6 seconds.

Unfortunately I think this is all theoretical. On the chart it even says "simulated".

I really cant wait to see a 5 star tuned 2.3 MT. A low 14s 1/4 mile would beat a 90s 5.0 Mustang. Thats good enough for an offroader.
