How many miles on it? Could be limited during break in period.

I don't think it's limited to the break in period. My 02 ranger maxes out at 90 so the motor doesn't over Rev. In neutral it won't Rev over 3k.

My f-150 was the same until we reprogrammed it and changed the speed limiter settings. Iā€™ve had my 73 in my signature photo to 106 on my Garmin GPS. It had more to give but I didnā€™t have the guts to go any faster. The speedometer said I was doing 84. Canā€™t get the right speedometer gear for the gearing and the 35ā€™s. But not bad for a truck that was really designed to do sixty!

who the fuck needs to go 101 over them there mountains over there
I hit 100 passing on a two lane road in Arizona this week. Some idiot didn't know what cruise control was and was drifting between 55-70 in a 65. Of course, when I went to pass, they just kept speeding up.

That's why I got the steel bumper. You can just run people right off the road.

Right, and that's a good example of when you might need that limiter removed... Seriously though, that seems low for a modern car. I don't think I have had a car that limited (whether governed or lack of performance) since the 80s... I plan to get my turned which should eliminate that...

when you think you need to drive 100 mph to pass on a public roadway, it might be a good example of where human discretion and emotional self-control is more important than mechanical speed limitation.
