Is this just one strut? Or are there struts for both sides, since none of the photos show the snorkel side?
This setup is only on the driver side to accommodate the snorkel on the passenger side.

Wait, so I just paid 80 bucks for just the one side? What else do I need for both on my Everglades?
The Everglades Hoodstrut kit is designed with a single, heavy-duty gas cylinder that supports the entire weight of the hood. This eliminates the need for a passenger-side strut, as the factory mounting points are obstructed by the snorkel.

Will say this first: I DO NOT WORK FOR OR AM IFFILIATED WITH MRT.

That out of the way, I had these struts on my Badlands with the ADV hood. I had the driver's side on, and while testing the operation, the driver's side alone was able to hold my hood up. With the passenger side, the hood was pushed up once I unlatched it. These struts I purchased was not design for one strut use.

So if the new strut is designed for the Everglades to operate with just one, I am quite confident it will work the way MRT worded their statement.

Hmm I wonder if it will fit on my Glades, I added a 150A breaker for my air compressor, on that side.

As a truck engineer, I say supporting the hood entirely on one side is not ideal.
The hood may be supported more or less in the center, or on both sides.

The post led one to believe they had engineered a proper left and right side mounting arrangement. But no.
The photograph on the link shows next to nothing. I do note the weight of the hood is propped down at the bottom, creating significant mass stress.

We actually agree with you—that’s why our standard kit for all non-Everglades Broncos includes mounts for both sides to balance the load.

This specific photo shows our solution for the Everglades trim. The factory snorkel makes a passenger-side mount impossible without major modifications.

While single-sided support is problematic on heavier applications—trying this on a Foxbody Mustang would be a no-go—the Bronco is different. Due to the lighter nature of the Bronco hood, we were able to design a specific bracket and strut combination that minimizes the twist and stress issues that traditionally arise with a single prop. We refused to design for inferior mounting points just to force a dual setup; instead, we utilized rugged factory points to ensure dependability. We waited a long time to release this kit to ensure it passed stress testing, and the results have proven we pulled it off.
