How could you say that? The rangers look amazing! Look at my ranger I’ve built over the last year! Looks bad ass in my opinion! The bronco will be a better vehicle for sure that’s why I’m getting one.

Ya yours looks pretty cool but most of the rangers on dealer lots are meh. To me the ranger needs a lot of mods to get someone’s attention. Reminds me of a truck you would see an old man drive to get groceries. I think it wasn’t much of a redo on Fords part.
To each their own..

So what you are saying Albert is the orders are placed in a "file" (WBDO) and then Fords pulls that file and builds the orders ????

Yes

What determines when Ford pulls that file?????

Ford

Is that a nationwide file???

Yes

I talked to my salesman, who I have known for more than 20yrs, he tells me just to do as Ford says and all will be good.

He is correct...Dealers are not in control after the order is put in the system...

Registered Bronco 6G first..... How do we use the forum?!? Come on someone start planting the idea with an executive....

We are early adopters and the forum is like a quality control web site for them. Just makes sense to give them to us first!!!
SO now yer talkin' August eh mateys?
What if not all the reservations cant be filled before Ford switches to new model year 2022 Bronco's and they reveal new colors/options and the original reservation is set for 2021 color?

Don’t worry just yet, but keep in mind that it’s not unreasonable to expect the spring 2021 delivery date to get pushed back to starting in summer or fall 2021. We’re talking about a brand new vehicle launch in the middle of a global shitstorm. Setbacks are bound to occur.
....and the Bronco6g old timers crew laughed.
I’ve been following this Bronco long enough to remember when it was a 2020 Ford Bronco and we all flipped out here when Ford started pulling the 2021 “model year” bs.

This whole “by September” doesn’t surprise me one bit; the goalposts have moved so many times that I’ve become cynical about Ford.

I reserved my Bronco in the first hour that it went live, and I’m anticipating a late-Fall delivery next year.

Don’t get your hopes up for Spring of 2021. Ford is like this every single time with projections on the Bronco:

I thought it was only 2 per household/address allowed?
How many reservations can I make and can I transfer my reservation?

Up to two reservations per account. Your reservation number is assigned to you and cannot be transferred. *

We both have an account. She got 1 reservation and I got 2. Hers is the FE, so thats the one we will be getting for sure.

So originally I thought since Ford pumps out 900k F-150s a year that 165k Broncos would be no problem at all.

Its looking like the 165k number may be a tall task indeed especially being that Ford is only building the Bronco at one factory and Covid-19 will most likely be a factor.

Many reservations at this current number already may get pushed into the 2022 calendar year. What determines who, how, why and what order? Well have to wait and see.

I know the Mike and the people at Ford are hard at work doing everything they can for us. And I believe they will do everything in their power to get these orders completed so most will get their Broncos in 2021. Unfortunately in the current environment we are in many will most likely get pushed into 2022.

For now we'll just have to stay tuned for more details.

If they tell me I won’t be able to take delivery of my 2021 bronco until some time in 2022 I will probably just hold off and wait to see what the 2022 or 2023 model year holds.

I just really have a problem taking delivery of a 2021 model in 2022 unless it’s heavily discounted

My initial thought upon hearing "late 2020" all those years ago was, " plus all the delays that will inevitably happen, it will easily be 2021before it gets here.
I will actually be surprised if they can make a legit 2021 model.
My opinion is they should call a June delivery a 2022,, but it isn't a strong concern of mine.

If I''m taking delivery of a 2021 model in 2022 then it needs to be heavily discounted. Just saying.

History shows there was only one year when Ford produced over 100,000 Broncos. I realize this is now ancient history, but at least it is a frame of reference.

I just don't understand the 4 month gap between when they take orders, and when they actually start building this thing. Especially when there is a strong chance that people won't be getting their 2021 Bronco until 2022. I realize there will be a lot of canceled reservations, but they are taking them right up until December. Doesn't seem like good business to me.

It's not only Ford. How many parts vendors are there involved with this product? Will all of them be ready to go?
For what it's worth I work for a automotive parts supplier that cast the engine blocks for several manufactors . We make the blocks for the 4 cyl and 6 cyl Ecoboost but not the compacted iron one the Bronco will be using . As far as Covid , we never let up as the auto supply chain was deemed "essential" to the economy . In fact we upped to 7 days per week 24hrs per day . Ford and BMW are keeping us wide open right now . My wife works for a supplier that furnishes nuts and bolts to the auto industry and she has never let up either . Unless Covid becomes much worse and becomes something of a Zombie apocolypse viral delima , I don't see the supply chain being an issue with production . Ford will also pick the most profitable model , options , paint color etc and start with that . then they will change colors and go that route . They will not bounce back and forth through options and colors just to stay in sequence ,lol .

Unfortunately that won't happen. By then they'll be people foaming at the mouth to get their Bronco. If you don't take delivery of it someone else will.

Based on MAP's production capacity of 65 units an hour, and them going to a 60% Bronco mix once production ramps up, the theroretical maximum they could build per week is 5460. Thats
30 weeks to build 165k units without any production hiccups.
By the time the MY '21 Bronco starts hitting driveways, I imagine the Ranger side of production will be getting ready for MY '22. I forsee MY '21/22 Bronco being short production years to get it aligned with the rest of the overall lineup of MY changeover in the summer.
