1st Demo Bronco showed up today!

Ford boardroom 2021. “ Here’s an idea, since we have over 200K people with reservations for the Bronco and we can’t build them at any industry recognized rate to meet the demand let’s build demos for dealerships. We have already stuck it to them, so why not kick them all in the groin while we can? It will be fun.”

It certainly seems unnecessary from a marketing perspective. They don’t need to drive more demand at this point…. They need to focus on supply.

But I’m guessing they used this manufacturing run of dealer demos to optimize the assembly process and work out some kinks. If I was an early res holder, I’d rather the first vehicles off the line go to dealer demos rather than have one of those endup in my garage.

Our 1st bronco rolled off the truck tonight! Demo was built 6/11 and delivered 6/16. Hopefully the timeline stays consistent with retail builds!

Reminds me of the couple Transit vans I've owned, both of which have known water ingress issues that have never been properly addressed by Ford. Owners resorted to inventing what was nicknamed the Transit TURD (Transit Underhood Rain Deflector) which was a Tupperware washing up bowl that shielded the air filter from becoming soaked with water. If the Bronco hardtop leak it will be a major problem..

Here's another for you. On 4th gen explorers the wiper cowl has clip holes directly above the two rear cylinders. Everytime it rained I got water in the plug wells and misfires. I had to pull the cowl and silicone around the clips to keep it out.

Glad we got a 4 door, those 2 doors look compact.

I prefer "fun sized"!

Likewise! I had to put a rubber strip along the base of the windshield and silicone to try to keep the water out of the engine bay.. still didnt work!

To bad Ford didn't use the hard top to complete a customer order. No lets send a test model to get more people pissed at us for not being able to deliver a product after they order one. Ford is ridic - they knew from the reservations what people wanted - 2.7 etc

My dealer should have their demo in about a month, they tell me. 4 door BD sas soft top, 2.3L.
They sent me the window sticker.

There should not be a single demo unit with a hard top until all of the hard top reservations are fulfilled.

I’m disappointed I opened this post and didn’t see a picture of you, personally driving it off the transport truck… Or at least trying to…

I’d even settle for a picture of someone else driving it off the truck.

I’d be surprised if a dealer personally drove anything off a transport truck ever. When I worked at a dealership a driver drove a fusion off the trailer incorrectly, front bumper was crushed and removed at the past second as it caught the trailer end or fell off the ramp. I felt bad but the sales guy said the trucker is insured for that. I don’t think the dealer would be.

Yes I have sasquatch on mine. I almost went Wildtrak but changed last min before ordering just to get the Roast leather.
