I mean they are stock tires on an off road vehicle..... Last time I checked most stock tires weren't exactly made to set world records....

Dang, I realize that almost all of those miles are offroad but even so, that seems to be a lot more wear than there should be with limited miles.

You didn't happen to see how the 33" BFG KO2s were holding up, did you?
No. I did ask one of the guides about that though. I will not name names or specifics, but my sole opinion is that they are not impressed with the GY's. They are professional off-roaders though... so that is like asking a PGA pro which clubs to buy.... kinda depends.

great analogy. Iā€™ll wait to worry about this, and even if worrying ends up being warranted, what a ā€œproblemā€ to have! šŸ˜‚

This is simply untrue. I've replaced tires at 35,000 miles, with 10-15k of those being off pavement all over Colorado and Utah, that have looked better than those.
The rubber compound on most tires will wear on rocks. Tires with hard compound rubber will last longer.

those tires are being driven hard day in day out. they are running over obstacles where power and wheel slippage is necessary.. the drivers of these cars know they are not replacing the tires, so they are driving hard, tearing the tires up. most tires are driven by the people who need to replace them.... not here, these are the tires you get to smoke up and walk away from...

Here are some pics I took of the GY Territory tires at the OffRoadeo.... not sure if this is bad or good. I worked at Discount Tire in Phoenix for a year and I never saw wear like this. Maybe designed into the compound for better grip (being optimistic)? Many tires had tread blocks broken off as well. That being said.... they got us through the course with little drama. Pretty sure I will have a second set of "purpose built" tires/wheels for real off roading trips.

Generic looking MT / bottom of the barrel design/ lose air every month because they are Goodyearā€™s / I plan on putting them on the shelf for hard times.

I feel like the last sentence in that review didnā€™t read what the first 4 sentences had to say.
That was my thought as well.
Not what I would consider a credible review.

Not at all!
Tires run on gravel will look worse actually, and donā€™t ALL tires get at least a bit louder as they wear, who are you people?! lol šŸ¤Ŗ
