Took my Bronco in for its second oil change on 03/30/2022 (15,000 mi). Ford dealer informed me there is a safety recall on the adaptive cruise control. I informed them I turned off the adaptive cruise before I drove it off the lot but they said it's a safety recall so it has to be done.

Dropped it off at the dealer this morning. They told me Ford told them it would be an hour and a half job but since it was the first one they are doing, would probably be 3 to 4 hours. Now 6 hours into it and still waiting. they tell me it will be ready at hour 8.

Anyone else have this recall done on their Bronco?

Interesting. I have a BL with lux as well and no recalls showing on my Ford account. Does the recall show up in your Ford Pass app??

Enter your vin in the NHTSA website and you can see if there is an actual recall

https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
Entered my VIN, "0 unrepaired safety recalls".

If anyone else has a 2021 Badlands, Sas, Lux, let me know if anything pops up for you.

If not, gonna have a chat with the dealer.

That’s a long time to be driving your Bronco. I haven’t been up to date on service notices but I’ll take a peak in a bit and see if this one pops up.

Is it just me or as you get older and start having your own kids has everyone else realized how much of a jerk Ferris really is. /endcurmudgeonrant

I am a tech at a dealer and tried pulling up the tech info on how to perform the alignment but the website is having issues right now. I have done some 360 camera alignments where you have to pull out mats on the ground and the cameras around the vehicle calibrate to them but they have to be absolutely perfectly aligned. If there was any issue with the software or the module itself, it would cause an endless loop of trying to recalibrate. If it's anything like those alignments, it's a hit or miss if it's going to take an hour or all day

Edit: if you post your vin, I can check the warranty history when the website is up if you're skeptical that they actually did a recall for some reason, but the recall number does show valid data as an ongoing program

Dealership mechanics are worthless these days. Thanks for the recall info. I'll check it out.
