Hi all.

I have an OBX on order, scheduled for next month, and I’m adding 285/70/18 tires.

(1) is a 2” lift could be pushing it and leaving too much space in the wheel wells?

(2) Ideally I would also like to eliminate the rake. It looks like 2” lift kits are just that — lift only. The pucks look uniform in size in the Zone kit, Rough Country kit, and 4WP kit. But won’t that just keep the rake, now at a 2” higher stance?

(3) Is there a solution to get 2” in the front and 1” in the back (or something along those lines) so you get some lift and level simultaneously?

(4) Or maybe a 1.25” level kit just makes more sense then?

Thanks for the advice

Scroll down and you'll see it's 2" in the front, 1" in the back. This is what I think I am getting and going with 295's.

Here is the side view of my non-sas Outer Banks with 2" Rough Country lift with 285/75/r18. So you are getting wheels that are an inch less in diameter than mine, which would leave some extra space in the wheel well.

On the Rough Country 2" lift it says "

Awesome. Your stance is perfect IMO, so that helps. And I found another thread that suggests the uniform puck size still ends up lifting the front more, due to suspension components compensating

1) The 2 inch kits look about perfect with 35s. You are going with 34s, and it should look fine if you want a lifted look. If you want a stock look, then just put in a 1 inch level, and call it a day.

2) You are correct, and incorrect. Most of the lift kits are 4 spacers of the same size. For instance, the 2 inch RC lift you show is four 1.6 inch spacers. However, since the front coilover lower pivot is inward from the wheel, the lift at the wheel is 1.5x the spacer height. So, for the RC 2 inch lift:

Front lift = 1.6 x 1.5 = 2.4 inches
Rear lift = 1.6 x 1.0 = 1.6 inches
Level effect = 2.4 - 1.6 = 0.8 inches

This is how most of the lift kits are set up.

Front lift = 1.6 x 1.5 = 2.4 inches
Rear lift = 1.6 x 1.0 = 1.6 inches
Level effect = 2.4 - 1.6 = 0.8 inches

This is how most of the lift kits are set up.
That’s great. I didn’t understand the multiplier effect on this, but now it makes sense why some of these kits say “lift AND level” despite the uniform puck size.

Here’s my non-Sasquatch OBX with a 1.25” kit on the front. Space between flares and top of tire is 5.5” front and maybe 1/8” less in the rear. That levels out once I get into the driver seat @ 185 pounds.

Thanks! 18" RTR Tech 6 Bronco in Satin Black. 9" wide.
Did you go with the 0 or +30 offset? Do you happen to have a front photo showing how far they poke out. I'm leaning towards the 0 offset but curious what you did. Love the look of your rig!

Thanks!

+30. Exactly what I wanted for the smaller Outer Banks fender flares.
