2.7L because I assume the Ford Performance tune for it will be much better and it's already starting out pretty far ahead in the torque department. It all depends on price though.

I'm getting 2.7. Texas highway speed limits are 70 to 80mph. I just feel the v6 will cruise better and won't buzz. At least that's the fact with motorcycles. Bigger cc less vibration.
A friend of mine told me once, the bigger the battery the more vibration there is?

Going with 2.3L because I really would like to have a manual again! Plus I've only ever driven 4 cyls (Subaru, Jetta TDI, Colorado Duramax (current)) so I figure why change that?

To post again, the 2.3 is a very good engine but, it won’t have the longevity in the Bronco. The Bronco must have at least, the 2.7 or larger just because of the limits the Bronco will be asked to exceed putting so much more stress on the drivetrain.
It would remind me of putting a pony in front of a prairie schooner.
Just sayin............

Manual is what I do. I would go with the the largest available if it had a manual.

2.7 because I have a Crosstrek with a 2 liter 150hp engine and I don't want to do that again:) Also I am fine with automatic transmission.

If I end up getting the Badlands i would choose the 2.3 to get the MT, but if I end up getting the OBX i would want to go with the 2.7AT. Still deciding

2.3 manual. Let's be 100% honest this might be one of the last manual mass produced vehicles made

Gotta have a stick. Teaching kids to drive a standard might be the last useful thing I’m able to teach them!

Anyone who knows anything about ford will know it’s better to go with the 2.7 in this truck. The 2.3 is a great engine (I had it in an ecoboost mustang I owned) but it is not well suited to a heavy 4 door SUV like this. Long term durability and economy and smoothness and power will all be better with the 2.7. In fact with the 2.7, and if a ford power tune comes out, it will be quick for its size for sure.
I’m foregoing other options so I can get the 2.7 for it.

2.7 for me, don’t like 4 cyl. engines and auto is fine for me.

If I need my MT fix then I still have a 5 speed manual in my old YJ and my ‘71 F100 has the 3 on tree.

2.3. Cost and it has more power than any similar sized vehicle I've owned, so I'm good. The talk of coking is troubling, but we'll see how that goes. An auto is what I've been looking at all along, I haven't had a manual in a while. My left knee is fine now, but I plan on keeping this thing for a while. I'm looking at a Base, so the 4.46 axles with the crawler are tempting though.
