I have a 4DR BaseSquatch with 2.3 and auto. I think it rolls just fine. Not race car fast, but you can definitely push it hard. No real off-road experience yet...but hopefully I'll get some snow soon!!

I test drove a 2 door 2.3 L auto sasquatch and I found it a little bouncy and a bit obnoxious.

Then I test drove a 4 door big bend 2.3L auto with 32" A/T tires and it felt civilized.

I think I may have found a solution to my concerns. I've found that General makes the Grabber ATX in a 275/70R18. It is a C rated tire, has severe snow service ratings, and shouldn't look too much smaller than the stock 315/70R17 Sasquatch tires. It is one of the few 33" plus tires I have found in a C range. It also only weighs 46lbs! I know I'll have to buy rims for it, but was planning on doing that anyhow.

If anyone is on a quest for a decent tire and knows anything about the General Grabber ATX's, I'd love to hear it.
