2.3L MT BadLands noise from engine

So an update on this rattling noise. It was a bent inlet exhaust pipe. That apparently got bent from the factory. It took 4-5 weeks to get the part in. They fixed it today and so far so good. No rattling noise.

Thanks for the update.

I am pretty sure that my 2.3L's noise is MUCH louder now than when new, 1500 miles ago. It is not a rattle, but I can't quite identify it. Possibly exhaust leak.

It is hard to compare memory, but I recall praising the Bronco for how quiet it was when new. The engine noise is now significantly louder than the exhaust note at idle.

Yours is the only thread that I could find on engine noise, so at least I have a place to start looking!
