Someone did suggest you could call around and see if other dealers have the turbo. They can look up surrounding dealers too. The day after I tried, my turbo arrived lol
I'll be on that shit! thanks!

Seems to have been quite a few failed turbos, especially in 2.3’s. Curious if most have sat on dirt mountain like the OP’s?
How would sitting on "dirt mountain" contribute to turbo failure?

People seem to forget that prior to 2020, cars would sit on a dealers lot for weeks and sometimes months at a time before being sold.

The 2.3
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
I swear it's only the 2.3 that turbo is shot. The 2.7s only problem I seen is rust , soft top breaking , and navigation system crashing or something due to a software issues . Should have chosen the 2.7

Sorry to hear. I was build week 1/17 and my bronco also sat in dirt mountain since January . It finally got built 4 days ago . Hopefully it has no problems. It a wildtrak race red hard top lux edition. @Ford Motor Company better be in perfect condition or else lil Jimmy gone catch these hands if I ever catch him on the streets

Worked at Ford for 10 years. Been to every vehicle plant in the U.S., Mexico, Venezuela and Australia.
Great to have your insight. Are you by chance following the thread of the @60 2.7s with blown valves? What's your guess on whether this might become a recall?

Shit happens. Tell me why a decent amount of 2.3 turbos are failing and why a few of them have come off dirt or ice mountain?
Let’s also remember cars on lots get driven- moved around, test driven, etc. Mountain broncos sit. And sit. And sit. And in fairly extreme conditions.

Good thing it's just a turbo and literally 95% of Fords have turbos now...

*it'll be a couple days tops since it's warranty, and a brand new undelivered unit.

*(unless for whatever reason it slips through the cracks like a GT350 I PDI'd back in '18 that came in with bent pins. All I needed was a pcm and injector harness but it took 4months to get the parts because the order was lost.)

I just searched turbo on here. I only looked at page 1 of the search and there were 6-7 failed 2.3 turbos. Seems like half of those were possibly mountain builds. 🤷‍♂️

The good part is that it is just a turbo swap and not the whole engine. It seems like the 2.3L that have issues are within the first 100 miles or so...real early. Get past that and you're most likely home free and enjoying a reliable engine. At least it failed before you took possession and were on your way home. You get this out of the way and you'll have a reliable vehicle.
