As I get older the more I appreciate stock exhaust on most things. Except my v8 f150 and v10 Excursion they both have had the muffler changed for a mellow tone. I'll keep the 2.7 stock though.

Well, I think that the exhaust mod that would be most fun (and would provide a significant boost in performance would be having the wastegates vented to atmosphere... Just two independent dump tubes, one on each side. Mind you, it would require a different turbine housing or significant modification to the stock housing, but at full boost it sounds savage and is totally stealth while the wastegates are closed. I did that with my Miata (325 RWHP) and it sounded savage at full boost (like a pro-stock car). It was really very quiet under partial load.
