2.7 exhaust upgrades?

Not mine, I was just looking to see how bad the 2.7 will sound. I'm going to miss the dual side exhausts and V8 on my G....

I don't want to make the Bronco any louder inside than I'm guessing it will already be. But... this sounds much better than I thought a V6 turbo could sound.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me getting older but I hate loud exhausts now especially if they sound bad. I'd rather just make performance upgrades like tune and cold air intake and call it a day then make my Bronco sound obnoxious. I don't see any reason to make this thing loud. It won't make your penis any bigger. Lol.

I agree, no fart cans or obnoxious exhaust for me. But I don’t mind a subtle increase so I can hear it.

I had a shop delete the resonator on my Mercedes and that made it a bit too obnoxious (while younger folks on forums loved it) so I had them put a cross pipe in there and that was perfect for me. More audible grumble without being obnoxious.

It’s what suits your taste of course, but there are exhaust mods that can be tasteful.

I just turned 40 so I don't consider myself super old. But old enough where loud exhaust doesn't do it for me. I'd rather leave it alone especially with the 2.7 or just do the air filter and tune that will make the turbo spoil louder which is what I'd rather hear then the exhaust.

low revs. makes it sound like a diesel.
i went back a while ago to listen to more from his youtube channel (and others). as soon as it goes above a few thousand rpm, the distinctive crappy v6 sound comes out.

I took a Huracan around a track for a few laps and oh lawd, that sound. Makes you question choices in life but then again my kids are worth it.

I doubt you'll be able to trade your kids straight up for a Huracan.

You can hear a little turbo whine.
I’ll love my Bronco, if I live long enough to get it.
But it will never sound like my Power Stroke with 4” turbo back exhaust.
I would like to increase my mileage over increase of hp.
Cold air intake, a sleight modify to the tune and some exhaust updates will hopefully get me past the current 19mpg rating.

I have the 2.7 F150 with a magnaflow muffler. Sounds pretty good..low rumble at idle, a little burble on throttle lift, with a purr at highway speeds.

Sorry, that sounds terrible. If you took away the war whistle, it sounds just like an 80s GM 3.8L with a rusted out muffler.

My mechanic said this as well. Do you know the reason why? Is it because the cylinders are bigger on the 2.3L?
