Besides the 10 A the 2.7 is a terrific proven motor . Should out live a 2.3 4 cylinder . I tend to keep my vehicles 20 years .

You are 100% right. If Ford constructed the 2.3 with the CGI block I would place my bet on the 2.3, but we all know that is not the case.Besides the 10 A the 2.7 is a terrific proven motor . Should out live a 2.3 4 cylinder . I tend to keep my vehicles 20 years .
The EcoBoost basically IS the old Mazda 2.3.I have the old Mazda based 2.3 in my 2002 Ranger that's still going strong 19 years later. Think it's all in how your going to treat and maintain something over the years that will determine its longevity under normal use.
that’s when you put a bigger turbo onI’ve kept my 4x4s for a long time but as soon as I start having issues with the turbos, the Bronco is going. The engine itself won’t be the limiting factor here.

20 years ago probably but now I’ll just trade it in for a new one. I’ll bring over a 6-pack and hand you wrenches while you do yours though. ?that’s when you put a bigger turbo on
