Looking for help picking. I never plan on playing on rocks and I do plan on going 75 to 90 MPH everyday. I’m thinking of doing a small aftermarket lift and starting with 32’s or 33’s to start on the factory 18’s. Is the 4.27 going to be comfortable with this setup?

I’m nervous that I wouldn’t like where the tach will sit with squatch at those high speeds with the 4.7. I’m also ruling out the 3.73 since it doesn’t have the locking option.

Am I looking at this right or should I just get the squatch? I don’t keep things long and I want to spec something someone’s going to want to buy when I’m done with it.

I’d you use the Grimmjeeper web page you can see what the RPM will be. 70mph with the 35’s and 4.7 gearing is around 2100 RPM with the 10 speed auto.

Agreed that it isn’t as practical for the use intended.

I was on the fence about sasquatching my 2.7 OBX or simply putting 33s. I won’t be driving the truck everyday, but it will double as the around towner and family hauler. And potential overlander. Do I need it sasquatched? Not by a long shot.

But to me, after waiting and waiting, and spending so many hours on this forum, researching, stressing, etc. My train of thought is if you have the money, get everything you want. Forget your needs. This has been a long haul and why sacrifice. I’m personally getting the Sasquatch. If Sasquatch makes the truck feel more unique and special to you, it just further justifies this long process. If I get my Day 1 reservation filled in a timely manner WITH sasquatch, AWESOME. If it’s delayed for a long time, then I would consider dropping that option. Simple as that.

With 4.27 gears and 32" tires, the tach will sit at almost the same place as with 4.7 gears and 35" tires. So, if you're nervous about Sasquatch RPM.......maybe you should stick with 3.73 gears for your high-speed freeway cruiser and not worry so much about the locker.

Given your stated use, why in the world do you want a locker ?

That’s why I’m asking on here. Everything I’ve seen stops at 70 MPH. That’s the speed limit for 2 lanes down here in Texas. HWY speeds start at 80.

Can't even wrap my head around buying a vehicle that sits on 35x12.50s to use as a regular 90 mph freeway queen.
That’s why I said I’ll start with 32 or 33’s on the factory 18’s.

Because I’m not a monster and want to make something someone on the forum will enjoy for a long time after she grows old and moves out.

Thanks how your help. I appreciate it. A day 1 truck is off the table for me. Lux with an all black interior won’t be getting made early for sure.

Yinz would be crazy paying over list. Hahaha. I’ll trade you straight up for a large Fiori’s pep and pastrami with egg from Primanti’s?
