This is exactly what creates a problem...everyone that buys a bronco (especially new) should defintiely be scheduling 13 day trips ---this is exactly what the bronco was made to do...create memories off-road !!! I hope this gets sorted out so everyone can schedule these trips!!! Broncos aren't meant to be mall crawlers...they are suppose to be off-road!!! Breaking down in a mall parking lot sucks....breaking down off-road is the worst....especially when you are in a group outing...lots of gear and far way from an easy recovery point....Lets get this issue addressed....the internet has so many negative uses...let''s keep on using it to solve this problem. If it weren't for a forum ...my 2021 Raptor drivshaft issue would still be unknown to me....knowledge is power!! Cheers21118 here….sh$t. Currently at 2400 miles. Got a 13 day trip from Indy to Moab planned for the first week of April….overlanding, wheeling, etc….sh$t sh$t.
I’m afraid so….looks like you’re mid-July, right before meThis is my engine number, should I be worried?
Wait... we got a little continuity gap here. It doesn't just go from I parked it, to it wont start, to there's piston mcnuggets in the pan without it being very noticeable.Confirmed, talked to the head mechanic today and he was working on expediting a new engine to me. He said they found something metal in the pan about the size of a wrist pin from one of the pistons, but haven't confirmed what it is yet and he said he's not going to tear it apart. I guess I'll be driving this ugly red Bronco for a while
I would be. Of course I’m jilted. Mine is dead with the same build date(21165120059).This is my engine number, should I be worried?
Imagine if this weren’t the absolute crudeness of the internet.Nope, but thanks for your super in depth and most valuable input, awesome guy

** threads covering their repair experiences - (lines 17, 10, 12, & 1)
- so far the engine build-dates run 21159 - 21224 - see how to read Engine Ser#
- in October a Ford Lima employee (@Jay3630, deleted soon after) made five posts re 'bad batch of brittle valves' - 'April batch' - see posts #1, #2, #3, #4, #5
- if the failures are caused by 'bad valves', maybe that 'April batch' has been working its way thru the system - then the problems could subside ?
- late October a Ford Service Technician wrote a post re the frequency of failures nationwide - he said 'about thirty in the last month . . recorded in the Ford Technicians Forum page'
If Your Engine Fails - dealer service of course - also :
- good to call Ford Customer Svc - expedite repair, communication, cover rental
- good to send VIN & full name to @Ford Motor Company here in B6g
- engine ser# would be very helpful in B6g build-date tracking efforts
example Engine Ser# Labels -
- B6g trying to see if the failures are confined to a range of engine build-dates
- maybe they were all built in same couple months ? - see also 2.7 Failed Engine Tracking Thread
- in 15 of the engine failures we have the build-date info

one way to check is to get an oil sample and have it analyzed for metal. Some failures are catastrophic so it may not catch it. Either way, I would suggest not getting too far off the grid prior to 5000 miles.Man, you guys are same engine build-date (June 14) - and almost same sequence#, only 19 apart
