Well now you've done it. That's my date...

I am right at 11,000 miles, no issues at all. Now my anxiety will be back.
So sorry but don’t they say sharing is caring, just wish Ford though of it that way!

Fuck. My 2.7 has never given me anything close to WHOA moment of acceleration.
Well, be sure to consider my disclaimer 🤣
Also, not sports car sort acceleration but DEFINITELY much more responsive and more acceleration than before. I'm thinking overall engine performance was never fully there. Which also makes me think there HAS to be a way for Ford to test these engines at risk 🤔

Just checked my engine build date and looks like I fall right in the middle of the suspected timeline; "21162" here's to hoping I got a good one!!! Currently over 5k miles.

My Badlands Sas never gave me that "Whoa!" moment until I unlocked Sport mode.
I was surprised the difference it made during WOT acceleration.

I may have missed it but I have been going through this thread and there's mention of extending the warranty of failed engines but has anyone actually had it extended?
Yes. I now have a 7 year, 100K mile powertrain warranty.

Funny you say that. My husband was asking what mode I was in. I replied "normal" - he mentioned it felt like a sport mode response (which we don't have).

As tempting as unlocking modes may be - after this experience - I'm not messing with any of that. I initially wanted FORSCAN to change a couple things. I'm not now. I anticipate getting an extended warranty out of this and I'm not about void it.

No judgement from me. I'm just grateful for the warranty.

I think it would be a stretch to void warranty because I enabled a drive mode that is available on other Bronco trims, but am also comfortable with taking my chances. This mod is no more responsible for engine failure than driving with a heavy foot or towing within rating. Neither of which would be grounds for denying warranty replacement.

I will not add a tuner, however, that adjusts factory fuel, throttle, boost tables. It would be hard to argue those changes didn't cause engine failure. Still, there is great documentation in this thread pointing to a manufacturer defect grenading engines without a tune. If you could determine the tuned engine failed the same way as the other 40 non-tuned engines maybe you could argue Ford into sharing the cost of replacement. An uphill battle for sure.

This is my concern as well. I really wish they would've included Sport Mode on the First Edition. I love my Bronco but I'd love to feel the pedal in sport.

So I got 5 year 100,000 mile warranty starting at my 4,000 mile when my engine blew. I also got a large car payment reimbursement!!!! That helped!!!
Do go away empty handed!!!!!
Your def going to hit 5 years before you hit 100000 would of been better if it was a t least 8 years

Can someone clarify how to read the Julian date?

For example 21162 does this equal
-Yr: 2021;
-Day of the year: 162;
-which would work out to June 11, 2021
