So 450 blown 2.7’s ain’t enough to warrant FoMoCo letters to all owners.
Heck, let's be conservative and say that 1/3 Blown Up Broncos were reported here. That's still nearly 150 Broncos. Which would be abhorrently high for any modern manufacturer, still could warrant letters to people in the affected date range. Ford doesn't seem to want to get ahead of it and is content to let motors blow up.

My answer was to just bite the bullet on the extended 6y/150k warranty - with my luck, I will never collect on it now. I figure, if I purchase the warranty, I will be the one that never blows up.

I just got a quote on Ford's 8 year/75,000 POWERTRAIN extended warranty...$1,865. Mulling it over; I'd prolly hit the years before I hit the miles.

A chunk of money for 3 added years of coverage.

Also emailed Granger, but nothing they offered extended the original 5-year basic warranty.

The best bang for the buck seems to be at 125k miles. I just hit 15k miles and I am in my first 6 months... Sooo... I might not hit 150k, but 30k x 6 = 180k, so I will take the chance that I leave a little on the table.

Granger offers the ESP, check their thread on it. They are reportedly slightly cheaper than Flood Ford ESP.

interesting - sort of a new one - not sure if this problem has been posted before - this could be the first one

? what's the Julian date on engine ?
- others might have similar problem

? did Ford also replace the head-assemblies, while they were at it ?

1)I'll check. Build date was Oct 2021 so I'm real close to the bad batch.
2)I'll check but don't believe so.

Gotta love the response, “warranty is there for a reason nothing to worry about.”

I was going to say thank God that guy was there to explain the warranty to him and that everything is fine- don’t worry about your blown motor. No biggie!
But I may get in trouble again.

Yes, be careful about offending the superior Ford Fan Boys, they can't deal with anyone calling their baby ugly.

Finally got our Bronco back after almost 4.5 months at the dealer. Not sure how they couldn't source parts while other people were getting theirs back long before us.

Absolutely happy you got your back. This is a fear of mine for sure.... Parts sourcing. I'm trying to track this very issue. How are people getting on the road and getting priority?? Whatever it is they are doing, I need to be doing!

Good Lord, that is inexcusable.

Have they granted you any restitution for the inconvenience? My dealer has yet to reimburse my towing or provide an extended warranty or anything, really.

Does this come from the dealer or FMC?

I have tried a multi prong approach, none of which have been affective.

Ford Motor Company kept me on hold for 42 minutes as they tried to figure out how to reimburse me for towing, only to tell me that it could not be done. They informed me that I should hold onto my receipt in case they change their policy.

My sales associate is supposedly still working on his end to get me some sort of restitution.

That is so wrong on Ford's part.

This is what has me more frustrated than anything. I get the faulty part. I get warranties. But the way they are treating those affected is not sitting ok with me. I don't have mine back but I'm working towards negotiations on them stepping up. Prayers and good vibes appreciated.
