Went and took pictures of the bronco and now the driver side window doesn’t automatically roll up or down. I had stay inside to roll it up properly so the rain didn’t fill the truck and crawled out the back door. It looks like Bronco is within the HOT ZONE. Talked to the service guy and asked about a loaner and they said I couldn’t get one cause I didn’t purchase the extended warranty(which we do that right before the factory warranty runs out) but if the salesman had told us that at purchase I would of took it out then. Cause I’ve never had to have it before to get a loaner as long as it was under warranty I got a loaner. So gonna call Ford Customer Care service Monday morning cause due to me driving and hour back home and son has a football out of town I’m not gonna have time today. I talked nicely to service guy and told him I’m on foot and he didn’t care. I guess 20 plus years of loyalty and 12 purchases of new vehicles don’t mean nothing which I didn’t tell him that even thou I wanted too. So I go outside and see a 2022 Bronco Catus grey on the lot for sell, it’s engine had went and they made them but the bronco back according to a salesman that pulled us to the side. I got photos of it too. So frustrated and upset I’ve waited 8 years every since ford was toying with the idea of build the bronco to get my dream vehicle and it’s sitting there undriveable with engine failure.some reasons for this thread

Notes:
- in October a Ford Lima employee (@Jay3630, deleted soon after) made five posts re 'bad batch of brittle valves' - 'April batch' - see posts #1, #2, #3, #4, #5
- if the failures are caused by 'bad valves', maybe that 'April batch' has been working its way thru the system - then the problems could subside ?
- late October a Ford Service Technician wrote a post re nationwide frequency of failures - he said 'about thirty in the last month . . recorded in the Ford Technicians Forum page'
January '22 - Lima Plant Newsletter - § Quality, page-1
-- 'Nano valve supplier issue was resolved with more robust design and material changes at the supplier.'
Both of my engine replacements took about 4-5 weeks end to end and I'd consider myself lucky with those timelines. Hard to see how to get it done much faster than that, maybe 3 weeks if a dealer had no other repair work.Definitely call and get a Customer Service Representative.
Mine was down for 2.5 months and I never got a loaner or rental. Sometimes, they just don't have them available. I asked and my CSR said she would see if there was a car on the lot they could use as a loaner but nothing ever came about it. My area didn't have any rentals available at the time.
Also, I know the service guys in my shop were equally frustrated on several points. According to them, their hands were tied in certain areas and FMC dictates protocol.
There are some here that may chime in and give some more specific advice. But start with a Customer Service Representative. If you get a good one, they will definitely advocate for you. Treat them with respect even on your bad, "fed up" days.
Currently in St. Cloud l, Florida.
She said she would ask for the Julian build date.
#metooAre we at 64 engine failures now with the I.G. Post shared by @Math4Fun77? Sometimes it can be hard to keep track.
This thread has been an good source of information. I'm not sure why I follow it because I'm getting a 2.3 7MT and consequently should probably be following a 2.3 Fuel Pump thread. But it has been entertaining to check this thread every few days for the latest.
