2 7L twisted intake tube

If you want to get the kink out loosen the hose clamp and rotate the sleeve. That is just lazy assembly

Yeah, the tube and plastic pipes are "keyed" to some extent. I'm thinking it might be 180° out. Just wanted to verify what it's supposed to look like before I started fiddling with it.

I know that it looks twisted up, but if you look closely it appears to molded that way. Likely to control the turbulence of the air going in.

This is not a defect, that's exactly how it was designed.

Those are actually inside the 3.5 intake tubes and the smooth out the airflow, believe it or not.

They are designed that way to increase air flow

Fun fact - my company used to manufacture power plants’ industrial vane controls. Basically like that, but huge. They were used to control air flow rate and velocity.
