Has anyone programed 1 key fob to work with 2 broncos? From what I can tell it's possible but haven't see anyone who has posted about it. It looks like I might need to get a new key fob to make it work for a total of 5. think 2 original fobs for each bronco and a single new one programed to work with both broncos. Any thoughts?

Just curious why you would do this?

Well that would be interesting.
I guess it might technically be possible.
I feel like if it would work you don't need the extra fob. You just use the two current fobs to pair the one from the other Bronco, as well as at least one from the current Bronco. Not sure.

Don’t know what the OP’s goal is - but I can see a use for this. Keep one fob in your pocket and be able to jump into either rig and drive away.

Though I’ll confess, “I have two Bronco’s and it’s just such a hassle having to be sure to always grab the right fob before driving one” sure sounds like a first world problem to me.

According to the Faraday bag video posted here (somewhere), the key fob is transmitting it’s code all the time. If this is correct, you would have to get the Bronco to recognize that particular code. I’m guessing the vehicle can be reprogrammed to recognize a new fob code. Whether or not it can be reprogrammed to recognize more than one code (two different key fobs), I cannot speculate.

I've read some conflicting info on how the process works. some say you need all the fobs and program all at once and others say its not required. I'd think the ladder would be more logical...

I haven't done it on a newer Ford, mine was a 2012. But basically you need two originals to make a new one for the pats.

The remote function is separate and you have to put it in program mode and activate all remotes that you want to use. It will delete any that aren't set at that time.

You should be able program both Broncos to accept all the fobs you have

That's my thought, I'm kinda hoping I can find someone who has done it and use the same process they did. I can't be the only one who doesnt want 2 of these dam key fobs on them all the time.

Some vehicles will only accept at most 3 fobs. Not sure on the Bronco.

Well, it's a shame that you are not in Texas. I would have been happy to try with my copy of FDRS. You could ask your dealer to help.
