If my memory serves me correctly, 2 doors do NOT fit in the cargo area. Is anyone planning on putting them in the back seat or laydown seat cargo area? Otherwise have to "leave them home"...? That pushed me over to 4 door, but modify order window is now open. Would like your thoughts? thanks!

I think you’ll find very few people are planning to ever carry their 4-door doors around.

On the Jeep it’s always a decision I make before I go out on a nice day. Take the doors off at home. Put them back on when I get home.

I plan to get a set of bags and figure out a way to secure them. Seats in, seats folded, seats removed - I'll figure something out. If it's a real nice day, they'll be left in the garage.

The Bronco doors are more akin to the Jeep half doors than their full doors. After driving it a few times I may decide it’s not worth the bother of removing the doors most of the time.

I know Ford is proud of the Bronco being able to carry the More Doors, but it really is a marketing gimmick. Those with 4-drs will entertain the feature a few times, but toting along 200+ lbs in the rear will get old especially when the owner cringes as they listen to their doors banging on the bouncy ride. It is going to take a tremendous leap of faith to trust the thin padding in the door bags to keep their doors safe.

Most will just stash their doors in the garage/hotel/rental on the nice days when heading out.

If this is what pushed you from 2 to 4 door, then you may end up seriously regretting your decision. It's cute that Ford thinks people will be carrying their doors around, but you probably won't more than a couple times.

Yep, I think this would be cool to do but as others have said, the door off decision is made at the house before leaving. Is it cool gimmick we can do it in a 4 door - yes. Will I do it - highly unlikely. Would it be cool if the 2 door doors could fit the in the back, sure.

My reason is for not likely doing this is that I only want the doors off if the roof is off - as I think it looks a little odd with the doors off and roof on. Plus as others said, I’d cringe at them bouncing around back there. So For me with the Jeep, we usually ride with roof off and then, if weather is nice, we’ll leave the doors at home.

If you put the doors in the cargo area, then you have no room for... cargo. No one takes the doors with them. In the 12 years I had a Jeep I think once when we were out on a day road trip we decided to take the doors off and thru them in the back. I plan on installing some hinge receivers in my garage and hanging the doors when they are off the vehicle.
