As has been stated, on-board storage is a gimmick. What are you going to do with the stuff that would normally be in the cargo area? Recovery gear, cooler, beach gear, groceries, etc.

If my memory serves me correctly, 2 doors do NOT fit in the cargo area. Is anyone planning on putting them in the back seat or laydown seat cargo area? Otherwise have to "leave them home"...? That pushed me over to 4 door, but modify order window is now open. Would like your thoughts? thanks!
Leaving them at home. I'll have to get used to checking weather since I live in FL.

My plan is to buy a mesh top for iffy days with light rain chances

My doors won't be coming off very often unless someone releases those cool donut doors. The back part of the roof is more of the concern for me in my 2Dr.

Think I'll only good totally topless on a wheeling day that'll be a turn around trip to the North Georgia Mountains or to run the Tail of the Dragon.

I'm picking up the bimini top for the sun and do have a slight worry for the occasional Southern pop up shower.

But hey, I like living ZackDangerously!

I think you’ll find very few people are planning to ever carry their 4-door doors around.

On the Jeep it’s always a decision I make before I go out on a nice day. Take the doors off at home. Put them back on when I get home.
Exactly. Who pulls over on the side of the road and says I think I'm going to take my doors off? Not many in reality. Sounds cool though. It's pretty much a decision you make before you leave your house on a nice day or before you leave Camp.

The top is a different story. That you want to have easy access to take off. Which you can. The front half of the hard top anyway. The rear will be an at home decision again. That's the benefits of a quick release soft top. Which I will eventually get for my 2 door for the Summer.

If the doors are off, that means I've already taken the roof off. So wherever I found room in the yard to set the back section of the mic top, that'll probably be that same place I'll set the doors.

Maybe other people do stuff that makes them want to take doors off mid-trip, but I can't think of a reason I would.

My doors will go straight to my mudd room! It's off the garage and has carpet. So best place.

My roof will never be off for awhile..the panels yes! Since its sitting in the employer parking lot for hours a day. I don't want the sun beating down discoloring everything.

Maybe we can throw the doors on the roof rack

Maybe aftermarket soft doors one day. Those should fit in the back.

I'm not sure anyone has had this option much before. So now that you can, maybe you will?

You can do the front panels of the roof plus the front two doors and put them in the back....

I mean you still have to take the tool set out and wrench on it. It's not like they just pop right off. It's definitely 10x faster and easier then Jeep but I doubt people are going to do it on the fly on the side of the road. Well see I guess. I'd rather do it at home ahead of time.

I suppose...

But where I live, you'll get sunburned the second you take the front panels off. So I don't see me doing that unless I'm taking off the whole roof and putting on a bikini top.

For me, the only reason I see taking doors off is if it's a pretty Spring or Autumn day and I go out in a nearby desert area... and then the doors will stay home.

One more vote for leaving em at home. For the top, I'm going to rig a system in the garage to pull it up to the ceiling for storage. Get a bimini top or something for those nice spring days. But doors? Probably roll down the windows is enough 90% of the time.
