This was possible in the 1960's-70's - why can't it be done in 2022? Who wants this? Who will produce it? Or even better, just the windows that can replace the OEM ones on the MIC top
I'm wanting sliders. Haven't explored such a modification, yet, as I consider my current Bronco a "holdover" Bronco until my original reservation is delivered. My quandary is that I really do like what I have and each day that goes by, I want the "holdover" Bronco to be my permanent Bronco.
With that said, my intent is to explore those who modify/customize RVs. Removing the factory glass and installing a custom framed slider is the end game.
I think the slider will break up turbulence better than the full pop-outs and in cold weather i'd like to be able to crack the window instead of the all or nothing option
Once you open the glass in the back there isnt much air left back there. If you want it the highway maybe, but its going to be so loud I can’t imagine it would be worth it today. Removable or maybe tilt out like minivans.
I love the pop out windows on the Jeep SkyOneTouch top. Having those on a Bronco would be awesome. I do like the sliders, just prefer popping the entire window out more.
anyone care to speculate on which top would be easier to convert to sliders - the MIC or the Mod top? I think the Mod because the windows (at least as originally advertised) are designed to be removable, so should be easier to design a replacement with sliders?
I want rear sliders more than any other option available on the Bronco. This is perfect for a 2 door. I dont want removable windows, then I have to worry about carring and installing a piece of glass and dont get a choice on how big the opening is. A replacement window can not me that hard to come up with. The dog would love this too.
