happened to see a two door Defender this weekend and the seats were powered. I realize the price point is different (this one was loaded and 87,000) but i don't really understand why Ford didn't offer this on the 2 door. I haven't had power seats in awhile, but my wife's car has them and my old Dodge Dakota did too - they are way more comfortable because it's so much easier to dial in that perfect setting.
end of ramble.

Honestly, if this had crank windows and a steel dashboard with low back bucket seats, I would still buy this. Its a freakin Bronco.

Electric seats always move way too slow for me. Could be a car. Could be our new sofa. Doesnā€™t matter the product. The electric motors are so damn sluggish.

Itā€™s probably due to the fact that you not only bring the seat back forward but the base slide forward to allow your passengers to get in and out easily.

How fast did the defender seats move? Did the base slide?

My 2003 Solara had power drop forward and slide seats. Hit the latch, boom! Reset to the last settings.
I was able to try out the manual seats in the bronco. They work fine. It's got a hydrolic feel to it, but no other issues. Less shit to break for sure.

yep, I don't care for them at all, glad I won't have them in my BL. Takes seconds to adjust the manual, better than bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz with the electric ones. And w/o memory it's completely pointless to me, if I'd have to sit there pressing buttons every time my wife drove it, I'd hide the key, LOL.

If my wife drove my Taco, it takes maybe a second to reach under the seat and slide all the way back, and off I go. If my son drove it it'll take me an other second to tilt the back one notch back.

Memory seat tied into which ever key fob is approaching would be the only kind I'd consider. But not for extra $.

they seemed to move pretty quickly, wasn't paying that much attention. I did just like the idea of that perfect setting.

My 2 door GTO had power seats. The 06 had upgraded motors, they were faster than previous ones.

They were painfully slow to let people in/out of the back.

Buy a 4DR if you want power seats.

I HATE power seats. You should have seen the big grin on my wife's face when she climbed into an F-150 STX and realized it had manual seats.

Every power seat I have ever had was slow. Eventually the switches flake out, and those are crazy expensive to replace. The one on my Mustang was $500 (for the switch).

Manual seats are a major bonus.

I don't get it... You should only need to do this once.

Are you letting someone else drive your Bronco?

Why?

but i don't really understand why Ford didn't offer this on the 2 door.
They couldā€™ve offered as an option I guess. I personally wouldnā€™t have added it. But itā€™s a legit question. Just like, why do I need Lux to get a garage door opener?
