like this would have been so cool and functional - anyone care to guess if an aftermarket supplier might produce this?

A few of have been asking the same question.

Where you at after-market??? Right now it's an untapped market.

I would really like a pair for mine or even flip up/pop up maybe even with access but made of glass.

Already have rear slider windows stock on my old Land Rover. (Along with a removable aluminum hardtop that doesn't delaminate.)

Ashley,
Have you had any success on the slider window search?

I’ve been saying that the rear windows should “pop out” like the old minivan windows. Not as cool as the sliding windows but it would really help with that *thumping* sound you get when taking off the front panels.

Give that air a place to escape!

Now this is an awesome idea! It would allow for so much smoother air flow in the cabin. Anyone else find the air flow very turbulent in the 2 door with the windows down? This is my only comfort complaint in my 2 door as I like driving with the windows down even when temp's are in the 90's.

With the rear window open it eliminates the turbulence and allows for a nice flow through breeze but I don't like driving with the window open at an angle and there is a huge risk I'll pull into my garage with it open and cause catastrophic damage. It would have been great if the rear window went down into the tail gate as someone else already suggested.

That would truly be cool, but with the current problems and tops now being replaced for cracking, Ford looks to be coming around about replacing them, I'd want to wait for my warranty on the top expires.

Ford would just use the modification as a reason to refuse the claim.

I hear you and might feel that way if I had a MIC top which had cracked, but I don't even have my Bronco yet ! That said, if a cool slider were made, I'd snap it up if my MIC were still intact and take the chance down the road if i ever cracked.
